“Without a doubt one of the friendliest people in Philadelphia serving up some of the best and freshest halal you can find. I go 2-3 times a week and singlehandedly keeps me fed on my days off from work. I cannot even begin to say how great the food and service is as there is simply nothing else like it in Philadelphia. “I had it home delivered, this is the first time I order from there. Delivery was fast and delivered hot, I order the chicken ranchero pizza, it's was very good, only thing It could of used is a little bit more tomatoes but other then that I highly recommend trying it. I'll definitely be ordering other pizza types and I have to check there other foods and sandwiches.“

“I have recently become a frequent customer of Al Baraka and Falafel king next door. The market has quality meat selection for great prices and I prefer it to other grocery stores. The owners are some of the kindest people I have ever met. Abu Tata is always generous in helping me pick products! Abu Said has gone out of his way to make me a special order of knafeh (kunafa) which has become my new favorite dessert in the world! I have since tried it from other shops and restaurants but no where makes it as good as Al Baraka! I recommend everyone stop in and shop around and try something different! And definitely try the knafeh because it is out of this world!“

“First time here and the food was delicious! Hubby and I both had the chicken and lamb gyro and also ordered the onion rings and fries. Onion rings were tasty and not greasy at all! We will go back and try other dishes too.“

“Very good beef shawarma and hummus. Hot sauce was more like a salsa and was a nice treat. Love the melt-in-your-mouth bread which I've never had before; so good I ate it by itself in about 10 seconds. Things that could use improvement are the salad which was a little too tart and the baba ganoush which had some hard pieces. Overall a good experience.“

“The pilaf is dry, the rice is always undercooked, and the pilaf itself is tasteless, lacking the wonderful, rich flavor that this delicious dish should have.
I recommend adding more salt when preparing the zirvak* adding more carrots (there clearly aren't enough in the dish), and steaming the rice until fully cooked. Currently, it seems the rice is undercooked by about 20%.

Update: The pilaf is much better now. I recommend it 👍“

I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. I pulled up around 8:30pm which is just a half hour until they close and had no issue getting served. I got the lamb over rice and it was absolutely amazing. The white sauce is soooooo good. The man running the place seemed like a nice guy too. I'm not one to take the time to write a review, but this food was so good that I felt it necessary to leave one. This is an amazing place! The staff are kind, respectful, welcoming, and truly friendly. The restaurant is very clean, and you can tell that everything is prepared using the freshest ingredients. The team works professionally, and everyone follows good hygiene practices by wearing gloves and masks. Everything is neat and organized, from the tables to the napkins and the food preparation area.

“Let me start by saying I love the food at The Halal Guys so much that I ate there pretty much 4/4 nights a week for a year straight after work before trimming it back. I've never done that with any other restaurant. The gentleman I spoke to leaving the restaurant the other night said he drove 40 minutes to come enjoy the food. All of the food is very fresh. They are always cooking fresh chicken and beef. All the veggies are a great addition to the platter along with the fresh rice that is always being replenished. The hummus is very good and when you add the chili based hot sauce and mix it up, it's heaven. For those who can't handle the heat, there's their very popular "white sauce". King of Prussia is always very busy. Please do not let "Bobby Bobby" deter you from going to The Halal guys. He clearly doesn't understand the restaurant business......no crime. Look at his bowl. It has chicken and rice ONLY. Evidently he thinks since he is afraid of eating veggies that the rest of his bowl should be filled with extra meat. Sorry Bobby Bobby; that is not how any restaurant works. This place gives a ton of food. I rarely finish my small bowl and have never ordered a large one. In this business you could have the best product and location but take away top notch customer service and a highly dedicated GM/owner and get ready for your "Grand Closing". Caesar has been the GM at KOP for years now and I've never seen him have a bad day. He always has a smile on his face and treats all of his customers with the utmost respect. His customer service is exceptional. This is extremely rare. How do I know this? 35 years in the restaurant industry. Hail Caesar!!“
