“Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia is a charming spot that blends French and Lebanese culinary traditions into a delightful brunch experience. With a 5-star rating, it’s praised for its flavorful and unique dishes, professional service, and the cozy ambiance that makes the wait worthwhile. The menu offers a mix of healthy options, and while the prices are a bit steep, the quality of the food is exceptional. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and feel the warmth of family history and culture in every bite.“

“I order takeout from here occasionally, but it's been a while since I've dined there. So I went with some people for lunch one day since we were in the area after a networking event. It wasn't crowded, but felt full with a good number of people having lunch/brunch.The staff were all pretty friendly. We were seated right after walking in and the service was a good pace throughout the entire dining experience. We all ordered something different but seemed to enjoy what we got. One person ordered one of the sandwich specials, another ordered the Mel's Chicken Sandwich and I got the Sante Fe Turkey Burger with sweet potato fries. It was very tasty, filling and served at the right temperature. I also had their Blueberry Lemonade which was really good.As always, a reliable place for a good meal. I recommend coming for brunch or course, but lunch is a good option too.“

“I found this cute brunch place and tried their famous French toast—it was amazing! The granola-covered French toast had a slightly crunchy exterior and a soft interior with strawberry cream. It was a big portion, and after finishing it, I felt like I wouldn't want anything sweet for days. Next time, I'll try their Mexican breakfast and share it with my husband along with the French toast. Overall, it's a great place for brunch with yummy food!“

“Charming brunch spot nestled in a corner in Old City. I’d be a regular if I lived locally. Very similar to something you’d find in Alphabet City, NYC. Staff is nice and food was super fresh and flavorful, beautiful and mouth watering presentation. Rating 4 only because no non-dairy options and I was dying for coffee, and my daughter didn’t get her French toast until 4 of our party of 6 were already finished with our meals. Ordered 2 veg omelets, lox Benny, chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry pancakes, and French toast. Sorry no pics of the pancakes. Kids were too hungry. The egg dishes came out first, then the pancakes, with the French toast maybe 15-20 min later. Just need a little more attentive waitstaff but aside from that, great place to eat once you’re served!“

“We've been here a couple of times or about twice a year usually. We were told by the waitress that the menu has changed for avocado toast. We don't eat it at all anyways but did see a change with some drinks. The cafe is lively , seems like the kitchen adds a lot of background noise. The food is great. I had the rhubarb French toast and it wasn't astoundingly sweet, pretty tasty and just right with the texture of the toast and cream was a nice touch.I had the pistachio latte to go and was surprised that there was actual pistachio in it. I thought it just a pistachio syrup“

“My sister and I enjoyed a lovely brunch. The atmosphere was quaint and pleasant. The service and food were amazing. It took a long time for our food to come out, due to the tables turning over at the same time and the kitchen got slammed. We didn’t complain but they recognized the wait and comped us a drink, which we appreciated. We will definitely return!“

“Everything about Winkel was amazing: gluten free options, friendly staff, and tastes that had our table quiet due to the savoring. My niece loved the giant hot chocolate and waffle. My sister had the eggs Benedict with artichokes (can't remember its menu name), and she couldn't get over how many artichokes were included--and she thought the hollandaise was perfect. I had a breakfast sandwich one day and the Waldorf salad the next day. The salad dressing - a mustard vinegarette was tangy and delicious. The gluten free bread on my breakfast sandwich was like BREAD and the eggs, gouda, and thick-cut bacon were an amazing combo with the potatoes and salad. The Waldorf salad was flavorful and amazing. We went to Winkel two days in a row because we loved it so much. Get there if you're in Philly!“

“Loved this place back in the day. Great neighborhood spot. Great staff. Clean. Unfortunately haven’t been able to return in years because they don’t offer vegan options besides avocado toast. Hoping they one day at tofu scramble eggs, or “just egg” and maybe like vegan sausage, vegan butter etc. of course not expecting them to reinvent the menu but having a couple of vegan options would really open up their market more“

“The food and atmosphere was remarkable. I came here Saturday and Sunday morning. The staff was soo friendly and made me feel so welcoming. The food was delicious and homemade. The homemade turkey sausages was delicious. Everything about it was amazing. I would highly recommend trying this place out. They also have outside seating and the prices are very reasonableParking: Since the place is right on market street, it can be difficult to find parking. Since I stayed at the hotel nearby, I walked to the restaurant“

“Found this place by accident on Monday. Serendipity! It’s tiny so if it’s crowded it gets noisy. It’s charming, with friendly efficient staff, and delicious food! We had avocado toast with turkey bacon and fried eggs, and scrambled eggs with cheese with French toast and bacon. Real maple syrup for a small upcharge. Everything was so good! We sat in the back in a sweet little patio. My husband went there the next day and had French toast stuffed with eggs and cheese. Also yummy. This could easily be our new go to for our favorite meal out - brunch!“

“If you’re looking for a yummy brunch spot, you found it! You can’t go wrong with any dish you order. It literally all sounds and looks so delicious! I ordered the avocado toast (needed something light) and my husband got a daily special. Everything was so good! I would say go early but I’m not sure that would even help getting you seated faster but definitely plan on a little wait for a table. The bar is first come first serve - we were able to walk in a grab a seat quickly.“

“Cozy, welcome little neighborhood eatery in South Philly. Our party of 5 had both lunch and breakfasts. All were big hits! Pictures below was one of the specials-short rib grilled cheese. Should be a menu regular! It was fabulous! A generous serving so tender and great flavor. We’ll be back! A great find!“

“I live nearby and finally checked this place out with a friend. I got the bbq chicken panini, and not only was it picturesque, but I think it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was made with love and the guy who made it was very friendly :)“
“This place has been my breakfast spot since I moved in the neighborhood 12 years ago. Good food, access to variety of beer, coolers, and wine and they sell nacho cheese sunflower seeds and ice when I need it. The owner and his wife are very friendly and attentive.“

“I absolutely love this place. The food is always amazing, the staff is always fast and friendly. The prices have gone up a little, but that's to be expected in this economy. The waitresses always greets me when I walk in, and wish me a great day as I'm leaving. Veronica is ALWAYS smiling and being friendly. Brandy is amazing! She is fast and proficient at her job. Melissa has been there forever and seems to know every customer as well as their order. This place ALWAYS cheers me up.This place“

“Came here for brunch on the weekend & it was surprisingly not busy -- it seems unassuming at first but deserves way more hype & credit for their great savory dishes! Servers were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Food also came out pretty quickly. The only thing to note is that it is cash only but there is an ATM inside. The creamy seafood udon was great & definitely my favorite bite -- they're generous with the shrimp, clams, and roe & it was the perfect amount of sauce. The pumpkin spaghetti was good, although I wish it had a stronger pumpkin flavor. The pumpkin flavor was light but definitely there -- it wasn't too sweet & the bacon was a great touch! The seasonal vegetables for mine were okra and bell peppers, which I was wasn't expecting but was pleasantly surprised by how great they tasted with the sauce. Both pastas were creamy but not too rich. The portion sizes are good, my group of two was able to easily finish all of it and be thoroughly satisfied.Overall, a super cute restaurant that I think is perfect for brunch and I'm looking forward to trying more dishes, especially the desserts next!“

“A must try:Pros:Very Friendly! Our first time. Not disappointed. Not sure why reservations matter but ok. It’s a small space do I guess that’s why you might wanna reserve a table. We had fish and grits and chicken and waffles, cranberry juice and water. The food was amazing, not overly seasoned. The wings were a perfect blend with the waffles. The grits are to die for ( not sweet). The waffles was light and that apple butter… yummy. The fish is catfish ( not my style) but for those of you who do… that hot sauce was very tasty too.Cons:The seating is a bit weird; they need a stand to say; “wait here” because you aren’t allowed to seat yourself. The staff is sweet. Loved Rose. There’s a bit of a delay with water getting to your table and if busy someone taking your order. If you sit by the window in the winter it’s a bit chilly.“
