They’re both a true asset because of how friendly and great they are at their jobs. I definitely will be coming back in not only for the good coffee but the terrific workers.“

“Busy lunch place on weekends and totally deserves it! The food is excellent and the atmosphere is really great! Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors! Excellent vegetarian options and delicious drinks. I got the roasted mushroom and gruyere sandwich, which had no business being as delicious as it was. Plus wifi and lots of street parking in the nearby area.“

“Shout out to Empire's Coffee for their amazing customer service, and somehow equally amazing egg custards 😍 we placed an order with them one day before needing an order for pickup, and when we arrived they were fresh just coming out of the oven! “Love this spot! Such a warm and homey feel inside while still having a splash of classy! The employees are consistently friendly and always excited to greet you with a warm hello! A hidden gem in Belvidere you don’t want to miss! My go to is the iced chai latte but today was their special tiramisu latte. Perfection. I’m not a huge coffee fan but when I indulge I’m a sweet coffee drinker. This was sweet enough for me while still getting the coffee flavor coming through. The dollop of cream on top adds for an extra dash of sweetness. On top of all that, it was served at the absolute perfect temperature ready to immediately drink.“

“I have purchased gift cards for the staff and they loved it. Yesterday they all had lunch - raved about the chicken sandwiches and the chicken salad - very fresh and delicious and inexpensive! One of the guys goes regularly for both breakfast and lunch!!! Place is great and nice and clean. Check it out.“

“The absolute best cafe for homemade ice cream, wonderful hot fudge, delicious soups, over the top croissant sandwiches as well as the best soda and fruit drinks! Such a nice staff and owner. We’ve been eating there over 25 years and probably had 300+ meals. Try it!“

“I do take outs. I like Double D. Most likely I figured, because I am a repeat customer, I get what I perceive as good service. Most Double D locations and cleanliness belong in the A circular.

Vegetarian options: There is nothing wrong to be a Vegan. There is also nothing wrong to be a beef eater. People have the ability to choose. They stay in their lane.

Parking: Nearly all Double D that I have patronized have adequately parking.“

“Personally, I never had a problem with their food. It was always fresh and hot. To get really fresh donuts, you have to go early in the morning or sometime in the late afternoon In my opinion. The only reason why I give them a four star is because they are so busy, at the drive-through, it’s hard to back up and get out of the parking spot sometimes. But otherwise, they’re good for me. I see some reviews about getting the food mixed up occasionally, but I have never experienced that there.“
