“If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable meal, Toscano in Bordentown, NJ is the kind of place that sets the bar. I finally got to try it after hearing rave reviews, and let me tell you—it absolutely lived up to the hype.

Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the flavors, the quality, and the whole experience are worth every penny. This isn’t food you can recreate at home. The service was incredibly fast and attentive, without ever feeling rushed. Our server knew the menu inside and out and helped guide us to what ended up being one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

Let’s talk food. The root beer pork chop—I’m still thinking about it. This is no ordinary pork chop. It was so tender I could almost cut it with a fork, and somehow, it was juicier than any steak I’ve had. The flavor was out of this world—sweet, smoky, and savory in perfect harmony. Paired with a side of their French Onion Soup, heaven is right around the corner with this combo. If you go, do not skip this.

That said, the steaks here are also incredible—some of the best you’ll find within a 30-minute drive, easy. They come out sizzling on a 500-degree plate, perfectly seared and full of bold, beefy flavor from their in-house dry aging.

And then… the butter cake. I honestly think it might be the best dessert I’ve ever had. It comes out warm, with a creamy, cinnamon-kissed richness that’s so intense, it’s almost too decadent to eat alone. (But that didn’t stop me from trying.)

Because Toscano is that good, it gets busy—so definitely make a reservation if you’re planning ahead. If not, the bar area is a great backup for a more casual visit, and the food is just as amazing.

Bottom line: Toscano is worth the trip, the price, and the planning. It’s that kind of special-occasion place that delivers every single time.“

“Stopped for lunch with hubs and friends. We we're looking to share a pizza, this is NOT that place. Yes, personal size for dine in. We opted for sandwiches. 2 ordered the roast pork, broccoli rabe, sharp provolone and both finished and raved how delicious 😋 Other 2 of us ordered the cheesesteak with LTO, red wine vinegar and olive oil, I added light mayo. The rolls these sandwiches were served were fantastic 😋 The sammies were NOT "packed" with fillings like a cheesesteak joint. Nicely presented with homemade potato chips. Quality of ingredients is huge because I can't eat a lot. The red wine vinegar and olive oil was top notch. I use red wine vinegar almost daily 😋 I would definitely go back for the same meal, about 1hr from my home and worth the trip 😋“

“Wow! What a perfect meal for my Italian friend and I. Service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious! We got the Broccoli Rabe Sausage app and the Mussels and Clams Fra Diablo. She got a pan fried Soft Crab special and I got my favorite Eggplant Parmesan. We took dessert home but are too full to eat it. Highly recommend! Great vibes inside and BYOB.“

“We came up from Virginia for a wedding. Staying at the Hilton in Allentown. They had no food service. I didn't want food chain. So I looked up Italian and Found this restaurant. We took the drive and were glad we did. Had A large pepperoni pizza. Thin crust flavor was just what we wanted. Was the Best pizza I had in a while. You can't beat NJ pizza. This place is worth the drive. I'm originally from NJ and the pizza in Virginia is not like here.“

We had 30 people for dinner at Leonardo's on October 24, 2025, all of them were very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere for my sons 35th Birthday Celebration. Our menu consisted of Penne Marinara, Farfalle Vodka, Chicken Parmesan and a Caesar Salad. All would recommend Leonardo's when dining due to the taste and the service of the staff at Leonardo's. The pasta just melted in mouth and could taste the chesses, or the sauces on the pasta. There was more than enough food for all. The Caesar Salad was a blend of crisp, creamy, tangy and savory favors working together to achieve a satisfying balance. All in All the evening was perfect, and I will be coming back to Leonardo's for future celebrations.“

We were celebrating something small, but meaningful. When we called they had no reservations available for the evening, but then called us back and squeezed us in at 4:30. The power went out in the entire city after we were served our first course. We were served our entrees in the dark, with the same elegance, as of nothing had occurred. Even with the unfortunate circumstances, we were treated like royalty by the entire staff, and had an exceptional dining experience. I will be dreaming of the escarole, until I have it again.
