The service was exceptional — the staff (Mr. Ashok) was not only kind and helpful but also attentive to every detail, making sure I had exactly what I wanted. The quality of the sandwich was top-notch, with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors that left me satisfied and impressed. On top of that, the cleanliness of the store was impeccable, which is something not often seen at many other locations. This is the go-to for everyone in the area whether it’s for a lunch break or dinner time take-out. They don’t offer delivery, but it’s in such a convenient location that it works out. Haven’t been to any other chinese restaurant as good as China Star 💗⭐️ they’re so consistent in every aspect. They also have a buffet, but I haven’t tried it yet. Give them a try!

“I visited Icy Melon in Edison for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was a pleasant surprise. The environment is quiet and low key, which makes it easy to relax but the seating could definitely use an upgrade. It’s not the coziest spot to linger, but the food more than makes up for it.

I had one of their signature crepes, and my friend tried the matcha crepe cake. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

We didn’t wait long for our order, which was a nice bonus. You can tell they put care into both flavor and aesthetics in their food.

While the vibe is more functional than cozy, Icy Melon is perfect for a quick dessert run or a casual catch up with friends. If you’re craving something sweet and photogenic, it’s definitely worth a visit.“

First off, Dave (I am assuming the owner) and Danny our server, were super gracious and inviting and offered some great suggestions. I had the birria tacos which were great. We were a part of 4 and everybody loved their meals. My wife is a vegetarian and there were plenty of options for her. The guacamole was perfect. Street corn appetizer was fantastic. “First time visiting here. Wife, son and I brought in some subs and snagged a table. A quartet of guitarists were performing some bluegrass tunes. Prices were reasonable for 5oz, 10oz, 15oz, and larger growlers. Very clean glassware. Son had Band Practice, me and wife had Creamsicle. Left with 3 four packs at $20 each. Staff were friendly. Bathrooms very clean. Felt like I was in an old Irish pub in Ireland. Lots of weekly calendar of events, trivia night, karaoke, etc.“

“Nomad Pizza has a delicious variety of pizzas cooked in a wood oven. I have been going there for years now and have not been disappointed with the pizzas, appetizers, salads and desserts. For the first time, I tried the wine. They sell Meadowcroft by the bottle or half-bottle at a high price. The red Zinfandel was the worst wine that I have tasted in a very long time. Both sour and tannic, I could not drink it. Do yourself a favor - enjoy the food but don't order the wine.“

Barbacoa had great taste but too salty, arabes were dry, lengua was disappointingly dry and bland. The salsa verde was used liberally to save many of the tacos.The flautas were nice and crispy but the chicken inside was dry.The tripe had some crunchy bits that some people might like but I found them tough.The campenchanos in the flour tortilla were also a bit salty but I liked how soft the tortilla was.The tamales had nice texture, but the cheese stick inside was strange for me.“

The customer service is impeccable. I’m not from New Jersey, but every time I walk in, they treat me like family. They also have a great lunch special—two slices of any kind. I usually go for the vodka cheese and a pepperoni slice, and it never disappoints. Oh, and you have to try the sugar-free cream soda—it’s so good!

He asked just the right questions and made tailored recommendations that hit every mark. His execution shows someone who takes pride in his craft, not just someone pouring drinks.

But what really stood out was the customer service. Wayne doesn’t just serve you; he engages you. His ability to read the room and interact appropriately with each customer is rare. Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, he makes you feel welcome, remembered, and respected. That’s a major KPI in hospitality: guest connection and retention, and Wayne nails it.

He also keeps the bar area spotless and organized, all while multitasking with ease—another performance KPI that too often gets overlooked. “I like how the restaurant is decorated with a Western theme and that they play Country music. The food and the service is overall very good. They are usually very quick and friendly. Sometimes if you order an additional item with your main course there may be an extra wait for it. They once forgot to give me the mushrooms that I ordered and I didn't notice it until I got home. But when I called the manager kindly sent me a $10. gift card. I especially like their wildest shrimp, chicken wings and their corn. Their prices are very reasonable as well and their portions are pretty good.

Make sure you check your napkins and flatware. I was once given a set that had hair on the napkin.“

An elderly man was pulling the slice with his bare hands onto a plate to put in a bag and then took my cash and gave me change and bills back. I wish he would have worn gloves if he's going to be touching money and then touching the pizza I'm going to be eating.**
Everything is delish from the drinks, appetizers, dinners, desserts! The best bloody mary's, clams casino, appetizer and the prime rib entree melts like butter, the mashed potatoes and gravy are amazing, and I usually don't like mashed. The tortoni dessert is delish, and the cappuccino too ! And if you want pizza, I suggest the Sicilian slice it's great !“
