“I have never been so disrespected at an establishment! An employee name Alexis treated me and my family incredibly rude. She even went as far as to make racist remarks calling us “you people” saying we are “always causing problems” because we are black and cursing at us. Simply because we wanted to check our food as it has been wrong in the past. Mind you this is MY first time at this establishment! She also told us “don’t come back” and when one of my family members mentioned that she’s been going there for over 20 years and knows the owner Mario she said that he isn’t going to do anything because she’s worked there for 4 years and doesn’t care what we say. I even tried to speak to her respectfully to diffuse the situation and she continued to curse and remain disrespectful. The only reason I didn’t call the police for her discriminatory comments was because my family member wanted to speak with the owner Mario first. SIMPLE TO SAY I WONT BE BACK, which is a shame because the food was good but I can’t justify spending my money with a place who would hire someone like Alexis who is nasty and rude to their customers.“

Mildly chopped and flavorful steak. Family owned and operated. Incredibly nice staff of people there. Rating 8.5. Recommend it highly.“

“I have never had a complaint about the food at Shamrock. The salads are amazing. Soups are usually good BUT there is a problem. Last week I bought 3 different kinds of homemade soups from the freezer. The chicken pastino was very good Chicken tortellini was chicken, broth & carrots no tortellini Beef rice had no rice at all, the beef was so tough could not be chewed. Each soup was labeled with the contents. I called the store to make them aware of it. I do not want a refund just an FYI The girl I spoke to said Oh I will inform the staff & said good bye. My take is she is going to ignore my call. My purpose of writing this so someone who care at the store and correct the problem. There were a lot of containers of these soups. I think you should know so not to lose customers. I have been going for years and will continue.“

“Finally tried this place after my brother told me about it a few years ago. Was doing a project around the corner and stopped in for the pork sandwich. I was not disappointed! Nice portions, great tasting sandwich. Went back several times, had chicken parm, cheesesteak, and Italian hoagie, all really good! The ladies that work there are super nice and helpful. “This family owned market is In the corner of a small strip mall. The variety of pirogies is overwhelming. The smoked kielbasa is so flavorful. Some items are sporadic and seasonal so plan on returning to try other things like the stuffed cabbage they are making as I write this.“

Joe sat down with me, helped me determine how many portions we would need for the number of people in attendance, and we went through the menu and made the appropriate selections. (For 40 adults and ~15 kids, we ended up getting two cold sandwich trays and ~15 Hot Sandwiches cut down into portions). At the party, the sandwiches were the star of the show. I had a warming oven to keep the hot sandwiches warm, and even after a few hours, the bread did not lose its integrity. We had some leftovers, but not too many, and there was no shortage of folks eager to take some home. 5+ Stars to the Chick's crew for making this process seamless.“
