“We moved to Tennessee 8 years ago & long for good bagels which are hard to come by where we live. We found Howard’s Bagels while visiting for the birth of our second granddaughter. We explained, we were looking to take some good bagels back with us. The young lady(sorry I never asked your name) was so nice & accommodated us with a free sample of a pumpernickel bagel. We were over the moon & found heaven in a bagel! Fresh, tasty, delicious New Jersey bagels! We ordered 2 dozen to take home to Tennessee, which by the way you actually get 15 bagels for a dozen(must be some kind of new math, lol). Guessing the online bagels we’ve been getting will be on hold for quite a while, these bagel are worth the side trip if you are ever within 20 miles(for us 600 miles), do yourself a favor get some & the crumb cake they have is also delicious! “If you think you have to go into NYC for a real bagel… think again.

Time for Bagel completely surprised me. Honestly, I didn’t expect to find bagels this good outside the city, but these are the real deal — fresh, perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. You can tell they’re made right and made often, because every bite tastes like it just came out of the oven.

But what really makes this place stand out is the people. The staff — and I’m pretty sure it’s family-run — are incredibly welcoming. They treat you like you’ve been coming there for years, even if it’s your first visit. There’s this genuine, neighborhood vibe that’s hard to fake. You can tell they actually care about what they’re doing, and they’re really good at it.

It’s one of those spots where you walk in for a bagel and leave in a better mood.

“Nice deli, bagels were good they were able to make my sandwich just the way the like. The meat was piled on and the sandwich was filling. The bagel has the right consistency of crunchy and chewy with the flavor that you expect. It's hard to find good bagels where I currently reside(Pittsburgh) so it was a nice treat while visiting here.“

“Great food and staff. I go there often and I have never gotten anything that wasn't delicious. The bagels are amazing. Unfortunately I am now gluten free but their gluten free bagels are very good. The salads and the fries are really good too. The prices aren't crazy and the portions are decent. The staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate any special requests that I may have. This is definitely my favorite bagel shop.“

“I used to come here all the time in college, circa '98, '99. I haven't been there in quite a few years, but decided to stop with my son the other day. I ordered a Taylor Ham and cheese on a toasted plain bagel and he had a plain bagel with cream cheese. It was the best I've had in years!! Now my son is asking me everyday to take a ride up there. Glad to see the quality remains the same! We'll be back........frequently! The Howard Stern on an Everything Bagel was my go to in college. I'm sure it's still amazing.“
