“Our waitress took our order, we ordered 2 22 Oz Bud Lights and burgers. They had to change out the kegs so we actually got our food before the beers. Our waitress apologized for the wait so many times. She was so sweet. Not her fault. She was very pleasant and accommodating. Our burgers were great as always. Shit happens. I hope she is shown this. She was awesome.“

“My best friend brought me to this hidden gem last summer for my birthday and surprised me with a return visit this year — and I swear, it just keeps getting better. Hands down, this might be the best Italian in Philly. The food doesn’t just sit pretty on the plate — it jumps out, grabs you by the soul, and gives you a warm, savory hug. Every bite is a bold, beautiful explosion of flavor that hits you in the heart and the taste buds. This place isn’t just dinner — it’s a love story in pasta form.“

“I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and we had a great experience. The ambience was nice, the staff was friendly, our waitress was attentive and the food was good. The manager Timothy Fisher stopped by our table twice to check on us and as we were on our way out, he ran up the stairs to hand us my girlfriend's purse which was left at our table. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you Tim, Maryn and team for all that you do!“

“A great spot in Philly. They have a nice variety of vegan desserts and pastries. And they’re all so good! Some vegan cakes can be dry but everything here is amazing. Their coffees are great too. Try the Misfit Mocha! They donate $1.00 from each sold to Misfit Manor farm sanctuary. They also do other fundraisers to support the local community. A great place with great owners! “Such a cute and friendly spot!!!! Perfect for brunch! The food is absolutely delicious! The breakfast potatoes were my favorite part. :) The staff were so sweet and were very accommodating of my food allergies. They took a picture of the ingredients to show me what was in their oil and that was above and beyond for me :)))“

“I live in South Philly and didn't even know this place existed. A friend told me about it and said it was good so I ordered from GrubHub and mannnn it did NOT disappoint! So much goodness in flavor and portion size. I tried the beef todero and tequeños and both were 10/10. I can't wait to try their arepas! My grandfather immigrated to Venezuela before coming to the US and used to make us some and haven't had any since. Looking forward to trying more.“

“Vibe was cute, food was very good - we got the Peruvian chicken which was amazing, hummus and French onion soup dumplings (which were good but my least favorite of the lineup) and came out in timely manner. Only downside is that dishes lack sides but can be added in“

“What a charming little restaurant! I sat at the bar on a work trip for an early dinner, which they actually have a menu for! Prices are reasonable for the city, and 4-6 is happy hour so I came at the right time for great prices and drinks and appetizers. Would definitely recommend! Plus this is walking distance to many nice hotels downtown. Only 5 min walk from the Kimpton Palomar! Would recommend calling ahead to ensure availability.“

“I lived in Seattle for almost two decades and will admit to being a bit of a coffee shop snob. The Nook hits so many of my high points. Extremely good locally roasted coffee (in-house!). Amazing baked goods. The cocoa coffee bread must be tried, but leave me a slice! Great staff. If I ever move out of the neighborhood, I'll journey to the Nook for a great cup and bite.“

“We went on a Saturday night as a group of seven to celebrate my husbands birthday. Even with a reservation, we waited about 40 minutes to be seated because the place was very packed. Once we were seated, and we enjoyed great service, the food was spectacular and everything just fell into place. We really enjoyed this place. We will definitely be coming back for another celebration or dinner. We highly recommend it and highly recommend that you make a reservation before you go.“

“Cozy, welcome little neighborhood eatery in South Philly. Our party of 5 had both lunch and breakfasts. All were big hits! Pictures below was one of the specials-short rib grilled cheese. Should be a menu regular! It was fabulous! A generous serving so tender and great flavor. We’ll be back! A great find!“

“I'm visiting this city for the first time. Locals highly recommend this local coffee shop. It is definitely a local vibe. I much prefer Passeros than Starbucks. The character of this little shop is 100% original and definitely shows Philadelphia love.“

“*4.5/5 Stars*
I recently discovered Good Karma Cafe and I'm hooked! This charming spot exceeded my expectations with its warm atmosphere, top-notch service, and delicious food.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, happily answering our questions about the menu. We indulged in their mouthwatering chicken sandwiches on sourdough bread, paired with refreshing lemonade and iced tea. The cozy back dining room, adorned with vibrant art and lush greenery, made for a pleasant dining experience.
Their breakfast and brunch menu boasts an array of tempting options, making me eager to return. Standouts include the Colonel Mustard sandwich and almond croissant.
Good Karma Cafe excels in:
- Friendly, attentive staff
- Beautiful decor
- Excellent selection of hot and cold beverages
- Tasty sandwiches and pastries
- Ample seating
- Convenient WiFi and water for customers
Minor drawbacks:
- Limited outdoor seating
- Coffee (large latte) was bitter and milk was over-steamed (though smoothies were great!)
Overall, Good Karma Cafe is an ideal spot for a satisfying breakfast or lunch. I'll definitely be back for more!
Parking: Usually you can find a spot pretty close by“

“Our waitress was the sweetest and they have some really unique menu items. I’d say their sweet choices are better than the savory but we enjoyed everything we had. Cornbread French toast was particularly sublime! The French press Kona coffee was a great start to the day. My one small complaint was the cleanliness of the dishes. My coffee mug had a visible red lipstick stain, my water glass had food particles on it and one of my plates was dirty. Just a small critique there. The space is nice open and not stuffy. And I noticed a good amount of foot traffic overall!“

“The best Thai food in Philly. Wow. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and this has to be the best peanut sauce I’ve ever had in my life. The service was so lovely and Tori (the server/owner) went as far as to give us advice for how best to reheat/cook our leftover curries. I’m coming back to finish trying the whole menu!“

“We had a small party at Riverwinds on Saturday night. The food was excellent. However, the dessert package is a total ripoff! There was a plate of small desserts ( 1”square pieces of cake, 2 “ eclairs, a chocolate covered strawberry, and a tiny cannoli. There were not even enough for everyone to take one! When I asked for more the waitress said I should go to another table and see if they had anything! 😡😳 Definitely not worth $10 a person! RIPOFF!“

“I have celiac disease and was at a medical conference in the conference center above Reading Market. Having celiac disease makes dining out that conference is an adventure. “The service is good but the busers are aggressive when one person is still eating you might want to tell your Hispanic buser not to come and interrupt the meal to clear plates away when the dining room is nearly empty that's why we don't come on Christmas Eve they damn near throw us out“
