Barbacoa is pretty good and I was happily surprised to find that sweet tamales are the state of Mexico style: "canarios", made of rice instead or corn with a pretty soft and fluffy texture.“

This was my first cleanse in over a year and much needed after months of poor eating choices. I breezed through the 1-day cleanse because they all were so tasty and actually kept me very full. “I’ve walked by this spot so many times, and it seemed every time I was hungry they were closed (closed on weekends) but today I finally stepped in. I ordered 2 bánh mìs and a Vietnamese coffee. Pete, the owner/operator of the spot was the only one there and we instantly jumped into great conversation about the music scene in Philly back in the late 90s. We ended up knowing a lot of the same people. Philly is a tight knit group. So even before eating the food I was already a fan of this spot. Pete served me his special take on Vietnamese coffee while we talked and he made the sandwiches. The iced coffee was excellent, but different and less sweet than Vietnamese coffee I’ve had in the past. He also used ice cubes made of coffee which was an added bonus for a coffee junkie like myself. After we talked for nearly 20 min, I walked home with my sandwich and WOW! Such a solid bánh mì! I told him to make it like he would make it for himself (spicy) and he knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing all my music friends here when they are in the neighborhood. I highly encourage Olde City residents as well as Philly locals to give this place a try!“

Main thing is the injera was too sour and overpowered everything else. (Not my first time eating injera/Ethiopian)

I signed ups up online for the 1-Hour workshop and the owner walked us through the steps by asking us o about skin types along with offering tips on how to address: normal; oily or dry skin types!

I appreciated the tips and the owner is a walking billboard for her company..her skin is flawless!
