“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋”

Before we even got into his specific allergies, she wiped down the prep area, changed her gloves and showed us their allergy binder. She prepped everything right in front of us and chose ingredients from under the counter as to avoid cross contamination. Bravo, Jiya! When casually talking with the owner, he mentioned having friends with food allergies so he definitely understood the severity of being diligent with prep. “We went to Gusto on Monday October 11 around 6pm. The waitress was very nice and friendly. All of our questions were answered politely. We received our drinks within 5 minutes of ordering them. We quickly received a basket of warm bread and a dish of high quality olive oil with olives. Our appetizers arrived shortly after. The crispy mozzarella triangles are HUGE! and delicious. The marinara dipping sauce was also very good. We were a party of 5 and everyone loved the food. Steamed clams were flavorful. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy. The pizza was delicious with a nice thin and crispy crust. Prices are reasonable considering the serving sizes are pretty big. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. I especially love the beautiful flower wall which would make a great photo op background for a special occasion. My only suggestion is to add some more non carbonated options to the drinks, à nice lemonade would be delightful.”

“We were hungry when we arrived at the American Dream Mall so we promptly made our way up the Coca Cola Eats food court on the 3rd floor in Court C of the vast Mall.
After our eating our food from the King Kong Express & Popeyes stalls, I went to the Illy Cafe stall to buy my wife a large cafe latte with just one shot of coffee, a large English breakfast tea and a slice of their delicious tiramasu cake for me, which came to very reasonable total of $20.
My wife had said she didn't want any desert but she ended up eating the tiramasu because it was so good and I had to go back and get another slice just for me, which cost another $9! The really friendly & helpful server laughed when I told her that the extra slice was just for me as my wife had eaten the first one all by herself🤣
We enjoyed the drinks & tiramasu so much we returned to the cafe to have the same drinks and another slice of cake just before we caught our bus back to NYC and we were served by a different but equally helpful & friendly server.
The food court and the vast mall didn't have many visitors when we went on a Wednesday, so there was plenty of seating at and near the cafe.”

This one is a franchise inside of the Hilton, but it is a full Starbucks that sells almost everything the corporate locations sell. You can use this location to build up your Rewards points, but you can't spend them there. Free WiFi is provided by the hotel. The concierge will provide the password, even if you're not a hotel guest. This location closes earlier than other locations, but there are others within driving distance. It is not on a walkable street, but I am really glad that this cafe is located within walking distance from me.”

As other reviewers had already stated, Lady M is typically full of Asian girls and tourists, which was true as per my visit today. Their pretty cakes and pastries are very photogenic and Instagram/Facebook worthy.The cashier was very nice and thorough. Told me that he was putting my copy of the receipt in the bag, while getting a tray for me to sign the merchant's copy of the receipt. He gave me 2 utensils without me asking.It's been a while since I tasted the crepe cake. I guess it was a let down as I remember it tasting more amazing. Each layer of the crepe was positioned perfectly so that it wasn't uneven. There was a lot more cream then i remembered. While the food came out promptly and the tables are clean, I had to wait a while for a staff member who could not be found across the entire front counter to take my order, despite no line present. This has happened previously on multiple occasions.

Additionally, it appears that management does not want to address this issue, but in fact encourages this behavior. they recently added a sign that directs everyone to the kiosk instead of interacting with a staff member.

Signs like this tell the customer they are not valued and staff prefer to hide in the back office instead of serving the customer. In fact, I’ve witnessed a couple of customers laugh out loud as they read the sign.

What happens with the self ordering kiosk breaks? some customers prefer a traditional ordering experience instead of interacting with a kiosk.”
