“I was exploring BBQ places in NYC and this spot ended up being my favorite. I arrived a bit late at night so the meat had been cooked earlier, but it was still incredibly soft and literally came right off the bone. The taste was amazing and the texture was perfect. The quality alone made me give it a full five stars. I keep thinking if I went earlier in the day it would have been even fresher. The portions were huge and the whole meal was very satisfying. Definitely planning to go again.“

“From out of town, stayed in the area and tried it one evening. Customer service was top-notch! I was expecting a place where you order at the counter and that is the end of the interaction with staff, but they came to our table multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was awesome and you get so much for the price. I ordered the BBQ wings and my bf ordered the picanha steak and they were both great. Definitely recommend.“

“If you are like me and have not had delicious barbecue for a long time, you will probably find it quite good. It feels like a Cantonese barbecue flavor. The pork is a salty barbecued pork, and the king of kings is also a little salty. Others I ordered include beef, mutton, gluten, and chicken hearts, which were both good! I love charcoal grilling + fresh grilling. Remember to bring cash!“

“Being a lover of barbecue, this place did not disappoint me; decent size portions on the 3 meat plate and at an excellent price, the ribs, pulled pork & sausage were all good so now I have to go back for the brisket & chicken; loved the baked beans & the sweet potato mash with pecans made for good sides! “I grew up in Elmhurst and getting skewers at this neighborhood staple as a snack was always a treat I looked forward to. Now, I’m happy that we can buy as many skewers as we dare (before we pass the threshold of waking up with a sore throat the next morning).This Chinese BBQ skewer cart is a no-frills, mom and pop food stand on the corner of Whitney Ave & Broadway by the LIRR tracks. Most of their skewers cost between $2-$3; they’re perfect for a late night eats adventure! The seasoning the sweet Chinese couple uses has just the right amount of cumin, heat, and spice. We sat at one of their 3 tables this past Monday evening and saw a steady stream of customers lining up for their grilled skewers. When all 3 tables were full, a 4th table and set of stools was set up as well. The cart is at their spot daily between 5:30pm-1:30am - you’ll find them if you see the smoke!? “This is hands down the best charcoal-style Chinese BBQ skewer spot in the U.S.! We’ve been multiple times and it never disappoints. The meats are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the service is consistently excellent.
Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s a small inconvenience for such an amazing dining experience—it doesn’t affect my five-star rating at all. Truly a hidden gem. Highly recommend!“

“Great spot for pork kbbq in the city! We came in Monday night with a reservation for three and got the tasting menu with a bottle of the chestnut makgeolli (which was delicious). The tasting menu was great value and I appreciated that the servers helped to cook, though they weren’t the most attentive. (For instance, we had to ask for a bib as well as refills for water and lettuce.) Meanwhile, the pork was great - especially the dry aged versions - as were the egg soufflé and kimchi soup. Also, special mention to having wasabi on the plate as a dipping option! Would definitely stop in again.“

“I’m something of a BBQ critic having grown up in the South and lived there for 40 or so years and I’ve had some bad pork experiences in NYC. So much so that I’ve told my friends, “NYC does every type of cuisine well EXCEPT BBQ” I respectfully retract that statement after having AU Jus’ SUPERB pulled pork sandwich this evening. I’m going to have to join a 12 step program to stop myself from eating it every day. So good it’ll make your tongue slap your brains out.“

“I am great fan of this place. My family and I order food from here when we feel like having some pull pork, briskets or ribs. I normally order the ribs and chicken combo which comes with two sides. The ribs are flavorful. I also like their pull pork sandwich .I occasionally order their beef chili. The owner Bruno and staff Santos and Carlos are very friendly and nice! I will definitely recommend this place if you crave for some barbeque and you are in the Edgewater area.“
