Inside the Mitsuwa food court. Flavor is good, but there’s not much filling, and it’s mostly rice. Disappointing
- Grilled eel onigiri ($3.60): 6/10
- Spicy chicken onigiri ($3.10): 6/10
My go to spot when in the area. The portions are perfect and the prices are hard to beat.
Went recently and they were sold out of their “bomb” and was a little bummed. One of the workers over heard and quickly made one on the spot. Forever grateful for you and the staff!
Amazing onigiris tastes like home!

Omusubi Gonbei おむすび権米衛 is a popular spot for delicious onigiri, especially the limited edition Scallop Onigiri. Despite the crowds, the onigiris are always tasty, although they might be a bit cold from sitting out. The display case showcases a variety of options like Nitamango and Chashu Pork, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Customers appreciate the high-quality rice imported from Japan, which makes the rice balls flavorful and satisfying. The place offers a wide selection, including grilled eel, salmon, spam, and sour plum, providing many choices for different tastes. The onigiri are well-stuffed and filling, with some favorites being the spicy bomb, the mentaiko, and the spam musubi. The quality of the ingredients, like the karaage, is also highly praised. Located inside Mitsuwa, it’s a great place for a quick snack before or after shopping, and many visitors like to save one for later. Although service can be quick and a bit rushed, the variety and flavor of the onigiri make it a popular destination.
