“I visited Icy Melon in Edison for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was a pleasant surprise. The environment is quiet and low key, which makes it easy to relax but the seating could definitely use an upgrade. It’s not the coziest spot to linger, but the food more than makes up for it.
I had one of their signature crepes, and my friend tried the matcha crepe cake. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
We didn’t wait long for our order, which was a nice bonus. You can tell they put care into both flavor and aesthetics in their food.
While the vibe is more functional than cozy, Icy Melon is perfect for a quick dessert run or a casual catch up with friends. If you’re craving something sweet and photogenic, it’s definitely worth a visit.“

“I waited about 20 minutes for my black sugar boba milk tea which was definitely way too long. However, the drink did not disappoint and the employees adhered to my 50% sugar customization. The cost was pretty typical and the taste was as expected. One store away is Heytea where the wait time is often 1hr+ and both Meet Fresh and especially Icy Melon have lost a lot of customers to them recently. Meet Fresh also has some great shaved ice and other desserts so it’s definitely worth it to check them out if you’re here in Festival Plaza. Highly recommend!“

“I used to come there for some ice cream cravings. After trying like 4 different places around, this one blew my mind with pistachio ice cream, which is my personal favorite. Not only that the ice cream itself is properly flavored, it also has nicely sized pieces of pistachios inside. Their waffle cones are a solid finish to the ice cream. I miss this place a lot.“

“Absolutely obsessed with this place! If you’ve never tried Turkish desserts before, Apricot in Westfield is the perfect introduction. It’s run by the sweetest family, and you can truly taste the love in everything they make. The baklava is next-level — crispy, buttery, not overly sweet — and their Turkish coffee is bold, smooth, and brewed to perfection. It feels like a little trip to Istanbul without leaving New Jersey. Support small businesses like this — they’re the heart of the community!“

“Super busy on a Tuesday night. It was my first time inside and it was very confusing as to where to go and how to order- no one greeted us or anything which is a little odd. We figured it out and enjoyed our cookies. There was a pretty long wait“

“The ice cream at What’s the Scoop is some of the best we’ve ever had. This local fav is not to be missed. So many flavors, excellent quality ingredients and super helpful staff. They also make custom cakes that are fantastic. You can pick your ice cream flavors, frosting, message and sprinkles. This cake made our special event extra delicious and memorable.“

“The macaroons were absolutely delicious. I have never tried macaroons like these, they were so good. The owner and his wife were super sweet and helpful. I am from Chicago and these macaroons were the highlight of my trip. These will be my place to get macaroons from. My favorite was the raspberry dark chocolate flavor.“
