“This place has been around for as long as I can remember. I vaguely remember them being in a different location though.....on the corner adjacent to them.....where CVS is now (they expanded that space. The place is small with no tables. There's just a couple of stools by the window. We always order delivery though. Family run by husband, wife and son. They are all very nice and delivery is always within 30 minutes. I've tried a bunch of things from there. Egg sandwiches, cold cut sandwiches, BLTs, burgers, pasta salad, fries etc. I haven't disliked anything. Their fries are a must get! Not sure why they're so good, but they are. As for the pricing, everything is under $10 which is great! Definitely check them out!“

“Great pastrami sandwiches. I also tried the corned beef but didn't enjoy it as much. Corn3d beef wasn't bad just not as special as the pastrami.

Definitely stick to the pastrami.

Make sure you give yourself time. The line is long and they take their time with every customer. Very slow moving but worth the wait.“

Get there before 3;30 PM if you want sliced cheese because they close the slicer at 3;30. I know if I get there at 3;32 PM the slicer is off. “Nothing too extensive to say about Clinton Fruit Market. The actual store itself is your quintessential NYC bodega & deli, offering a wide variety of groceries, along with an extensive deli menu (not vegan). What makes them stand out, though, is their partnership with Plantega. They offer the standard 12-item Plantega menu in-store, but you can order from the full menu online through Plantega's ordering site. During my visit, however, the employee working the flattop knew about the vegan options but did have to look at the customer-side menu for the ingredients. As well, I originally tried ordering the Shrimp Po' Boy; however, they were out of the vegan shrimp until a new order arrived. This creates the common problem that I've found at these types of locations: the menu in-store does not seem to be as extensive as the one online, & sometimes you're gambling with the availability. This wouldn't be a problem if the prices online (even when ordering for pickup) weren't $5+ more expensive than the prices advertised in-store. Otherwise, I received a quality sandwich; I got the Cubano, and there was no mix-up with non-vegan ingredients. The flavor was fantastic on the sandwich, and as a little side note, the employee at the register was also very kind.“

“Just recently found out this deli offers full meals on Friday. We pick it up before they close and it serves 8-10 people. This week is pesto Chicken breast, linguine in a light olive oil and onions (or maybe shallots) and sun dries tomatoes. Salad, dressing and bread.Last week was meatloaf (to die for), mashed potatoes, sautéed string beans and of course, bread and salad. It lasted me all week for lunches at work.“
