This is a fantastic deli. The selection is phenomenal. The food is all tasty and fresh. They have a lot of turnover so their cold cuts are always fresh. Today I got the DJ - turkey, avocado, tomato, mixed greens, herb mayo on multigrain bread. It did not disappoint. The bread was soft and yummy. You can taste the herbs in the mayo. One of my favorite places to be. Anytime I come home from college, JD’s is my first stop. I love walking in and seeing the smiling faces of the staff and customers. Food is always incredible, the atmosphere is so welcoming!! Truly the gem of Oakland?

I don't think I've ever had something from JDs that I didn't like. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've used them for catering also and I was impressed with their pricing and options. Tables are always full and staff is always friendly. Quality is consistent. My favorite is constantly changing but my family loves the BLK and the patsy.
