Chinese Restaurants near Ewing

“Ordered takeout about a week ago, expectations were low as I haven’t had much luck with similar places on either side of the river. Indiscriminate google search for “Chinese food near me”, called in the order on my way home from work, stuck to the basics; wonton soup, egg rolls, fried dumplings, and mushu pork. Proceeded to the location from which I had blindly ordered and, recognizing the store front upon arrival, resigned myself to another late night lack luster dinner on the couch.
Wrong! Soup wontons (generous count), egg rolls, and dumplings look/taste hand made and were freaking delicious, bawler soft fried egg on the mushu, and both entree and dipping sauces were flavorful without being over salted. Everything was as order, hot, cooked perfectly, and ready in the given time. Zero hesitation in this recommendation and many predicted returns. Thanks Royal Chef for an extremely pleasant surprise, GREAT FOOD!👍👍“

“Our go to for take out Chinese food in the area. Soups and mains are consistently solid and well priced. Looking at some other reviews, I’d noted that this is not a dine in or a high brow Chinese food restaurant, so set expectations accordingly — the staff are super friendly, the food is made quick and is tasty and not super greasy, and you won’t break the bank for a good portion of food. We’ve tried nearly every Chinese place in Ewing and this has quickly become our go to for a reason.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are good compared to others at similar restaurants, provided you are okay with fried tofu or veggies only (no protein).“

“I have been coming here for 22 years my daughter was 2 at the time I moved and still take a 40 minute ride to come especially when I'm in the area I stop and get food my daughter move out of state and when she comes up this is one of the first places she goes food is hot clean and delicious ? the manager is so friendly and welcoming you will not be disappointed.“

“Number 1 china is number 1! We had 30 people over for Christmas, ordered a mountain of food and it was ready for pick up in 20 mins. It was also super reasonable. Way cheaper and convenient than grocery shopping and slaving in the kitchen all day. Also, our guests loved all the food and got a kick out of Chinese food on Christmas. Can’t go wrong with this place especially when entertaining!“

“On January 11th 2023, incredible Dustin, Once again prepared A sumptuous Gluten-free feast for me and a friend! He made Singapore noodles and Infused it with the perfect spices and it was ohhh so Scrumptiously delicious ? Dustin, not only is owner & Manager of Princeton PF Chang's, Talented gourmet Chef with a Heart ❤ of Gold!!! Also want to praise him on the delicious chicken lettuce wraps and amazing Spicy Chang's chicken he always remembers ti give me extra sauce in the side! Please give kudos to Zach who fixed the bill which was done asap and to let Patty , my delivery Angel know she was missed on 1/11 and none Other is like her she makes sure I have all the Extras and is sooo sincere and over the top service ?❤❗“

“To be fair, I fully understand the poor reviews on this store. You have to be very selective in ordering the right dishes to get a good experience. In general, most northwest China cuisine dishes from this restaurant are authentic and highly recommended (e.g., green pepper and beef fried noodle; crispy lamb chop; lamb scorpion pot; flat bread in lamb soup). We have ordered these many times by now.

However, I would avoid ordering non-Northwest-China dishes (e.g., tomato noodle soup, pork soup dumplings) as they are very mediocre and not worth the money.

Furthermore, ordering delivery from this restaurant is quite a scam. On most delivery apps (Ubereats, Doordash, etc.), the price of each menu item can be $5-10 higher than the in-store prices (even for pickup!).“

“Such a nice evening!! The food was delicious and our server (so sorry I don’t know your name!! The Hungarian girl from Felsoörs 🇭🇺🇺🇸) was exceptional, so knowledgeable of the menu, sociable, prompt and helpful! We had the fried eggplants & chicken popcorn as appetizers, then various types of noodle dishes, sesame chicken and seafood tofu. Super yummy, and cozy atmosphere. Will go back when in Princeton!“
