“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

There were 21 of us all together and everyone was well cared for by server Lily and the rest of the awesome staff. “We hosted a surprise 60th birthday party this past weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the first call to set it up to the moment we walked out the door, the staff made sure it was such a great experience. The people who work there are so attentive and kind. The managers Bryan and Kelly were so helpful in planning our party and Ivan is a rockstar. He took care of our party of 20 and made sure we had everything we needed. We never had to look for him, he was always checking on us and providing excellent service. He truly is so great at what he does. We had a sit down lunch in their cottage room which was so nicely decorated. the space was perfect. We felt like we were in our own restaurant. It was cozy but spacious and they were so accommodating with how we wanted it set up. We were able to bring balloons and decorations and the staff even helped us set up. They had a curtain up in the doorway so we were able to really surprise the guest of honor. Our lunch was delicious. We chose to do the seated option with 3 shareable apps and we picked a menu of 4 main meals from their party menu. Most of us ordered the shepherds pie and it was some of the best we had ever had. The presentation was cute. It came in a skillet which was served on a board with Irish soda bread. It was so delicious. The show stopper was the shareable Irish egg rolls. We couldn’t stop talking about them. The drinks were really good and the bar staff was really attentive to the party. The kids ordered from the long kids menu and they really enjoyed theirs as well. The pricing was very reasonable and worth every penny. We were able to bring our own cake and they cut it up and served it for us which was so nice. I can’t thank them enough for how special they made this experience. Everyone in our party had such an amazing time. The staff here are incredible. I would absolutely consider them for your next party.“

The bartender is swell and the vibe is laid-back friendly.You might think "Dive Bar" (in the best possible way) when walking up to the front door, but what you get when you open the door is a Classy Establishment.To the backyard party-goers of Bergen County--- leave your block, for the love of Mike, and patronize this place. “Tucked away behind the Main Street we stumbled upon this excellent restaurant. We ordered Spring rolls and a Japanese thingy for starter, both were really good. For mains it was Beef and Ginger and Prawn Fried Rice, again both excellent. So for 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 drinks it came to 58 euros, even excellenter ?…music choice was a bit different in that it was dance oriented but wasn’t out of place. We have booked again and would obviously recommend ?“

Then immediately you notice the open air lofty feel but with ever thing you expect in a classics traditional American bar. The perfectly sized newly constructed bar as you walk in on the right. Two midsize new pool table, the wall mounted monitor that can be seen from all angles, a perfect located dart board. But wait there is more. Amy who talked to us briefly about the new owners vision gave us the 5 cent tour ending it with the back yard. An oasis of a outdoor gathering area with tables, chairs and heater for those cool spring and summer nights entirely cover but a gazebo. Folks, Brass Rail 2 means business, they are built for you to come enjoy a beer watch baseball game on any of the monitors, play a game of pool, shoot some darts or just come and socialize with your friends or neighbors. Congratulations on building a nice local American Bar look I'm forward to spending time there unwinding after a good days work.“

Ambience: An intimate space with a pool table, darts, and a great DJ playing the slaps! Great place to watch NFL games for sure!
Service: The female bartender was so nice and attentive. She even gave us free shots before we left, and I will absolutely be back because of that!
Drinks: We ordered a screwdiver and a whiskey sour, which were super strong but still drinkable. I also ordered kamikaze shots, which were very yummy!

Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event.
