“Don't underestimate this place. I've been to 5 star restaurants and in my opinion this eatery shares some of the same qualities that I admire in upscale restaurants: consistency and deliciousness.

The people behind the register are friendly but quiet. I go here during week when I want something that is fresh and high in protein. They provide you with generous portions so if you workout and need a solid amount of protein and carbs this is my favorite in the area. I enjoy eating here more than Chipotle, higher quality meat with bolder flavors and they serve uniform portions of chicken. They don't cut corners here.

The chicken platter is my favorite and I highly recommend it to people wanting to try something new. With the chicken platter I enjoy the fresh zesty flavors of onions, tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and tzatziki sauce on the side. I recommend ordering an extra sauce with your order. WIth the colder months I'd also recommend the their lentil soup. It was really tasty!

Side note: I don't recommend the cheese burger. It's not their specialty. Stick with the chicken platter.“

“THIS PLACE IS AWESOME !!!! I came from Canada and wanted to try something other than Halal Guys. This place blows them out of the water. Ordered:

1) Chicken Platter - AWESOME !!!! Portion was good and flavor was sooooooo good

2) Philly Cheese Steak - OMG !!!! The hero/sub was sooo good that it is a "must have"

3) Mixed Gyro - ALHUMDULLIAH !!!! The Sandwich / Pita was so packed that it took time to eat and I enjoyed every bite.

4) The Big Ash Chicken - MASHALLAH !!! The taste was sooo good that I wish I had more.

Anyone that follows me, this place has to be on your list of MUST TRY.

To the Owners/Cook/Workers - I come from Canada every other month and now I have 1 more reason to come...May Allah grant you much more success.“

“I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋“

“We went to River Edge branch on Friday night - the music and atmosphere are great.Restaurant is beautiful. They have very good singer/DJ, people were dancing till very late. “Excellent, a close place to grab halal food. Tried gyro and falafel platter. Rice was cumin forward, gyro lots of flavor and falafel crunch but soft on the inside. Falafel is spiced a little bit differently, not overly vegetal. White and red sauce available too. Will be go-to lunch place. Prices are average but portion is decently sized. Dining tables inside too.“

“I saw this place while driving . I wanted to try authentic Yemeni coffee. I tried Sana’ani coffee which is medium roast coffee with cardamom. I enjoyed this exotic taste. Store is clean and comfortable. Staff is knowledgeable about coffee. They offer authentic Yemeni desserts and America and desserts. They also nice selection of exotic teas.“

The khichuri, chicken pulao, butter chicken, biryani, beef bhuna, Haleem, paratha, chicken lollipop, and chicken 65 were all so delicious! The best part of the restaurant was the malai chop— soft and delicious, simply amazing! Also a shoutout to their tea and fresh green mango juice! If you are in New Jersey looking for a halal place to eat with your family this is the place!! The food was just soooooooo good and the customer service was great!! Brother Mustafa was so kind and attentive! You totally need to come eat here!

“I'm glad my uber eats delivery guy from another place was lost, which made me angry enough to drive about 24 minutes to try Zakir's Bakery Gyro Express for the first time. Wow! The double cheeseburger was plump, juicy, and delicious, not like most of the late night halal places. The fries, to me, can definitely compete with the McDonald's fries as far as the right amount of salt, unlike all the other places, which make you feel that you need 2 gallons of water due to the crazy salt content. The gyro platter mix was amazing because it tasted different from all the other mix platters out there due to what I think was a touch of vinegar. Man, that was delicious! Please keep that kind of quality always!“

“The Turkish food here is of high quality. We had the mixed platter of cold appetizers and the mixed meat entree. So yummy! The host and waiters were very welcoming and efficient. When they made a mistake and forgot a side we ordered, they still brought it late and did not charge us. Then they brought us tea and baklava on the house. They want you to leave happy. The sign of a well-run business. We’ll be back for sure.“
