Laura the manager is also great and makes sure everyone is having a great experience! “On 2 May 2024 I decided to stop by at the Mountain House. I walked in and it is an amazing interior. It’s a bit of rustic, a little bit of industrial and very aesthetically pleasing. as I was meeting a friend there I obviously got there way too early so I sat at the bar and enjoyed a nice beer with some amazing fried pickles. Anybody that knows me knows my weakness is fried pickles and I have to say these are some of the best I’ve had in my almost 60 years. They were crispy and crunchy was spicy and I wish I would’ve gotten a couple more orders. When my friend arrived, we went out and sat by the lake. We both ordered the New York strip steak, which was cooked exactly the way we wanted it and came with a sauce and some onions and mushrooms on top. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of the mistake because as soon as it was put in front of me, I just dug in and started eating. It wasn’t until I was almost done that I said dang it. I should’ve taken a picture. The steak came with vegetables and potatoes. I’m going back to the mountain house to try the fish tacos and the tzatziki bowl. Those caught my eye, but I didn’t have enough room in my belly. And you can see from the picture I attached. It is a great view, and it was very peaceful and relaxing.“

“Cozy bar with reasonable prices! We stayed in a newly opened Cobmin Ridge Motel. The best motel rooms I have ever seen and I travel a lot! Very modern. I wish the bar from inside and out is more updated. Its a great busy road and this business can make so much more money with some simple updates.“

“This local tavern seems to have transformed itself during the pandemic! The food is amazing! I was surprised at the prices however. We intended to stop in for a few beers and burgers, it was not a special night out but it wound up costing as much as if it were. The noise levels tend to get pretty high in the bar, so you may prefer to sit in the back dining area. Go and support locally owned establishments!“
