“Hot Bagels in Lakewood is mamash one of those places that just does it right. You walk in and you already know you’re not leaving empty-handed — the smell alone is a whole yesod. If you’re a bagel person (and let’s be honest, who in Lakewood isn’t?), this spot is a real go-to.
First of all, the bagels are fresh and legit — warm, flavorful, and with that proper bite. Not the kind that feels like a roll with a hole; these are real bagels. And if you like variety, you’re in good hands. Plus, their sourdough breads are also a big deal — you can tell why people mention it as a favorite.
What I love is that it’s not just bagels — the place is set up for a full breakfast/lunch situation. They’ve got a nice selection of spreads, salads, and grab-and-go items, so whether you’re picking up something quick or feeding a whole chevra, you can make it work. Also, the drinks fridge is stocked like they understand Lakewood mornings: coffee, juice, iced coffee — whatever it takes to become a functioning human. 😄
Service is generally quick and efficient, especially if you order ahead (which is a smart move when it’s busy). It’s a popular place, so yes, it can get crowded during peak times — but that’s only because everyone else had the same brilliant idea to come here.
Bottom line: fresh bagels, great sourdough, solid menu, and a reliable Lakewood breakfast/lunch stop. Highly recommend — just be warned: you’ll say you’re “just getting one bagel,” and then somehow you’re walking out with a whole bag and a couple “extras for later.”“

“Four corners - the best Cafe in Lakewood. There is nothing more to say than that.
The food: The greatest bagels and pasta in Lakeeood. All the food here is Mamash out of this Velt. Everything is plated Mit A Geshmak. It's the perfect bagel place for a lunch or a brunch. Nice menu to chose from.
The prices: Great pricing - that's all I can say.
The staff: Great, fast & efficient workers, who prepare the food just right. Nothing better than these guys.
Four corners bagel & cafe should be your go-to bagel 🥯 store. It's a great, Geshmak place to be.“

“I went to work with my husband one day. We stopped at this bagel shop, Tommy's Bagels! For breakfast! He ran in as I waited in the truck. Before running into order, he told me that this bagel shop was one of his favorites. And that it was very popular. Waiting inside, he must have waited in line for almost 20-25 minutes. I can understand a breakfast place being busy in the am before the work day begins. But half an hour, I believe is a bit much! I will say, this bagel was amazing! ? ? ? They slapped on the cream cheese, just how I like it! It was overall well worth the wait in my opinion. If you're in a rush in the morning, maybe before stopping by Tommy's Bagels, leave your house a bit earlier. That would be my solution. Or possibly, I went and ordered on one of their busiest days, and it's not always like that. Just keep that in the back of your mind. Because it is so so worth it! The bagel was delicious!“

“Friendliest staff! Amazing customer service. Highly recommend“
“By far best bagel in the area. Would give 5 stars but knocked off one for the customer service. The two ladies there working had zero personality and seemed like they just hate life. I got maybe 3 words out of the lady. All I got was a “Next” when it was my turn to order, didn’t even ask me what I wanted and then I was told the price and got no response to me saying thank you and have a good day. I came in the store saying good morning and thank you after I placed my order so I don’t get the lack of common courtesy and simple conversation. Would I go back….I would for the delicious bagel, but if I get that kind of interaction again it might not be worth it after that.“

“This is an incredible neighborhood gem! I saw this place was recommended on NextDoor so when I was in Monroe, NJ for a doctors appt on Thurs. 1/29, I made a point to stop here. I ordered a cappuccino(or maybe a latte, I can't remember) and the #5 breakfast caprese. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Coffee drink had cinnamon added which was an extra sieve all touch. And they brought both to my table. It was a bit in the pricier side but the portions and food quality made it worth it. Highly recommend! Just wish I lived closer! I want to try their perogis.“

“I always look for bagel places when I am roaming the state of NJ. There is good parking out front of the store. Getting in and out from the highway is a bit tricky. I went at lunchtime so it was not super busy. Odd setup inside makes it hard to order. Service was good. The bagel was very good.“

“These bagels taste like the real thing—crusty outside, chewy inside, and you can tell they’re actually kettle-boiled and stone-baked. They taste really fresh, not like the usual supermarket stuff. The rest of the food is solid and portions are big enough that you don’t walk out hungry. Plenty of seating and enough staff that things move pretty quickly. Overall, a great spot if you’re in the mood for fresh, legit bagels.“

“Recently checked out Joe’s Bagel and Grill in Robertsville, NJ—and honestly, I’m confused by all the hate. Yeah, I saw the reviews complaining about pricing, gluten-free “gouging,” and service, but that wasn’t our experience at all.
We tried the gluten-free options since my partner needs them, and everything was solid. Staff were super friendly—smiling, helpful, just genuinely nice people. I went back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, no issues either time. Food was great, service was fast, and the vibe was good.
Sure, like anyone, I’d love for life to be cheaper—but I actually think the pricing here is fair for the area and the quality. It’s a bagel shop, not a mortgage payment. People in these reviews need to chill.“

“I Love this bagel shop. Especially the french toast bagels. It's small, but it has a very friendly atmosphere. And the service is great. Good coffee. Many different kinds of cream cheese and bagels to choose from. They also have a good selection of cold drinks too. The Servers give you service of smile. Not sure of what time they open but I know the close at 3 PM and it's a cash only business, but there is a ATM on the premises. So if you're anywhere near the shopping center In one , try something good to Yorktown Bagel“
