“Great meal and overall time here! Our server was super nice and friendly/helpful he really guided us through the menu and gave some great suggestions. The restaurant itself is super nice and cozy while being spacious, but oh man the food is unreal. We had the meatballs (so big and flavorful and smothered in sauce), the mushroom pizza which was loaded with mushrooms, super flavorful and unique. Also got the vodka pizza which was really great, we got extra vodka sauce on the side so we could really drown it and loved it. My friend got the gluten free and she said it's the first gluten free bread she's had that actually tastes like real bread and loved it.“

“Ambiance was really cool almost felt like I was in an east village coffee shop. The latte was strong and delicious along with the Ube and cream cheese pastry I ordered. The record room was awesome, the only thing I was shocked at how awful the music played was. With all the cool records from the 80's and 90's I couldn't believe the a little too loud music choices: I looked around and noticed everyone had headphones on so I guess they knew the drill. She was so kind and prepared coffee for us and took our order. This would never had happened in California. My husband ordered the Taylor Ham sandwich and loved it. “I visited Ko Cafe in Jersey City for the first time on Thursday, March 7, 2024, for the Book Haven Books Silent Book Club Meetup. Since I had not been to an area of Jersey City outside of Journal Square for a long time, I decided to arrive at least an hour earlier. The park across the street is one I first saw more than five years ago.The service was beyond excellent. The staff were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The coffees were super delicious and the cornbread meat pie is truly the star of the menu.I love how spacious it is, and there is plenty of seating. Of course, I loved the library of books already in the cafe, as well as all of the African art and other assorted African items. I think I saw at least one or two items made using Kente cloth.There is a strong community/home vibe in the cafe. I was treated more like a friend than as a customer, and Tara, the owner of Book Haven Books looked very happy to have partnered with Ko Cafe for this Silent Book Club Meetup.I look forward to returning, as soon as I can.Vegetarian options: I was very happy to have purchased the last Vegan banana walnut muffin. The sandwiches are all fresh, healthy, and satisfying. The coffee is excellent. I love the samples you can try as you wait in line. Had to purchase the cardamon bun after tasting the sample. It is a unique pastry I haven't seen elsewhere, and it is the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and crunchy. Going back soon to try the baguette which looks delicious.“

“I worked with Ma’s Tea House for a corporate event. Initially we wanted them to come on site at our NYC office location at make fresh bubble tea as people came into the office, which they do offer, but the building had a lot of specific requests which made it difficult to coordinate. We ended up deciding to switch to a delivery of 100 bubble teas in the morning for my event that same afternoon. From start to finish, they were very easy to work with and responsive. I stopped by the shop and Justin worked with me to decide on what would be best for delivery and what flavors would be good options. I even requested they add my company’s stickers to the cups along with their own and they did. Delivery was a little tough (but that was due to the location of the office in midtown, police officers not allowing vehicles to stop, etc.) but we eventually found each other for delivery and they helped bring the bubble teas into the building within the delivery time discussed.As for the bubble teas during the event, we decided on 50 white peach rose with strawberry popping boba and 50 passion fruit with mango popping boba. They were a HUGE hit and mostly gone within the hour from the start of the event which we didn’t expect. We were anticipating some leftovers by the end of the day, but in the end, there were none.Pricing was reasonable and comparable to other quotes that we received. Brian was great to work with. We would look to work with them again in the future!“
