“Decided to stop in after a tour visit to Montclair University and receiving a gift card for Christmas. Everything was delicious. We ordered brisket fries,cheese fries, smash patty melt, Montclair Blue Burger, build your own burger and 3 shakes. Everything was amazing including the burger buns (fluffy and airy). I wish they were closer to us, Old Bridge could definitely use a really good burger place.“

I love their gluten free chicken tenders and the fact that their French fries have their own fryer! You also can't go wrong with their Classic Chix sandwich, which I substitute with grilled chicken and either a lettuce wrap or gluten free bun depending on my mood. From the moment we contacted them through their website, they were professional, prompt, and friendly.We invited them for our annual Black Student Social which is a fall semester welcome program. The staff were kind and worked quickly to serve over 200 students. Our students were happy with their tacos and burritos. The owner was very accommodating and met all of our needs.Administratively, I was very impressed with Bro-Ritos. We made A LOT of requests and changes and had to work through the nuances of getting a new vendor approved, but Bro-Ritos was always responsive and on top of it. The food is the highlight here. I ordered the Double Deluxe Smash, which was easily one of the best burgers I’ve had. The meat was juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The fries were equally impressive, crispy, crunchy, and well-seasoned. To top it off, I tried the new Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Shake, which I can’t recommend enough. A thoughtful detail is that they serve the extra shake in a metal cup, so you get more than just what’s in your glass.
Service was also excellent. My food arrived in under five minutes, and the staff were both efficient and genuinely friendly, adding to the positive experience.

“Great Shake Shack! I stopped here for dinner not too long ago, and I have no complaints. Plenty of parking out front, and tons of seating inside. The kiosk ordering was quick and efficient, and the food came our very quick. Not to mention, the employees were spectacular! One of the workers was even coming around to every table offering sauce packets and napkins. I tried the big shack, which was delicious, and my shake and fries were also amazing. The inside is clean and modern, with a bunch of seating, as I mentioned before. There is also outdoor seating. The thing I love about all Shake Shacks is that they always have a free water dispenser and cups. This is super convenient so that you don't have to pay extra for a drink. A great place to stop for a quick and delicious meal.“

The small boneless chicken was honestly huge and the chicken was super crispy. The spicy rice cakes were way better than I expected — especially since I don’t usually like rice cakes.

The only thing keeping this from a 5-star review is that it came with no radish, no dipping sauce, nothing on the side.

For $14 for a small order, I’d expect at least some radish, I’d also give up a few pieces of chicken for radish.

Also, it’s definitely more of a take-out spot — the covered patio is nice but not heated, therefore I ate my food in the car since it was cold.

Overall though, really solid food and an easy 4-star meal.“

It has a milder flavor compared to Katz's, which I actually prefer since it allowed me to finish the whole sandwich in one go. Katz's meat is so intensely flavorful that I usually need to take a break and cleanse my palate before I can finish later. This place is a fantastic alternative if you're in Jersey. The prices are reasonable, and the 8 oz option is perfect for satisfying your craving without breaking the bank. The Knish and macaroni salad were delicious as well. They give you delicious pickles. We’ll definitely be returning often. Update January 2026. Stopped by for some pastrami sandwiches. They are still delicious and worth every penny. Hot dog special this week, $2.00. They were flavorful with an awesome snap.“

“I am very disappointed considering this is a new location. I have been going to Habit in Wayne NJ & they are amazing. I came to Clifton since it was closer & the burger wasnt burgering. Idek know what to say anymore LOL fries were just bland. Ya can tell I was bummed out. 2 meals for $26 for nothing. I dont understand why customers need to purchase a sauce or add cheese on a burger & the bills already twice as more than it already insanely is. Wayne location never fails. Clifton is Overpriced & does not satisfy.“

Burger (American cheese with grilled onions) is juicy and delicious even after it has sat in a bag in my car for 10 minutes, onion rings are perfect and their pizza is great too - especially the Detroit style. No question for me that this place does everything right. Can’t wait to try the cheesesteak and their milkshakes. This place had better succeed or I would be pretty disappointed.“
