“Today’s my 2nd time eating there. There’s a young lady who get the orders while the other does the cashier thingy. I appreciate the young lady who serves, she’s very pleasant both times I was there. She deserves a tip. I didn’t care for potato salad and cabbage with the added frozen vegetables, I’m so happy not to have that the first time, and I’ll order again if they don’t add that. Those items are great by themselves. Thank you!“

“The service was a bit slow at times, but generally fine! And when we asked to close the door because it was cold, they were quite accommodating. The food is always good and we always have leftovers. It may be a bit pricy, but not too bad when you consider you get dinner AND lunch!“

“We will very much miss this restaurant when the entire chain closes at the beginning of April. My wife and I, as well as our friends, have enjoyed the food since the Cherry Hill restaurant first opened so many years ago. Closing the chain doesn't make sense. This place is always popular, especially at dinner time and new menu items are introduced each season. Caribbean themed restaurants are not plentiful, unlike the dozens of steak house and sports bar restaurants in the Darden's (the parent company) restaurant portfolio. I would love to reach out and shake some sense into the idiot that made the decision to close the chain, because clearly this person has no sense and or even cares. Our condolences to all the serving, cooking, and back of house staff. Good luck in your future endeavors and thanks for your years of service and great food.“

“Found this treasure place when I was looking for Dominican/ Mexican food for lunch at work. Really really good slow cook ribs. I really want to know how they seasoned it even there might be some recipes online. When you chewing the chicharrones the juice/fat just come out and it taste really really good.Ribs/ chicharrones(crispy slow cook pork belly), rice and beans, salad, and maduros(sweet fried plantains) for $13.Do not go to Applebees, TGI Fridays, McDonald’s, meals from local tea like this gives you better and healthier choices, and they deserved more customers.Part of ribs and chicharrones(the part doesn’t include much fat) became too hard/too dry to eat after long time cook, some of them are not eatable anymore since it’s too hard. There should be a way to avoid this problem. As I know the Cantonese type Chinese BBQ restaurant has slow cook ribs and crispy pork belly too (with different seasoning of course) , but theirs doesn’t have this problem, and pork belly are perfectly brown. I don’t know how they do it. Maybe cover meat with aluminum paper and be more accurate at the timing and temperature by cooking them not as long as Latin chicharrones(chicharrones taste harder/crispier). If you try pork belly from both restaurants you will know what I meant“

“They have the best Dominican food other than my mother in law. Nice portions and reasonable prices. Great to stop even just for snack like pastelillos, aka empandas, the potato balls, or fried plantains. They have platters with rice beans meat and salad, just choose what u want everything is delicious ive been eating there since they opened. Friendly staff, inside is small but its so delicious 😋“

“Easily the best oxtails I’ve had & you can’t beat the price point. The food is so delicious time and time again. I consistently order on DoorDash and delivery is always fast. The food is fresh and they’ve never let me down. I want to try other options one day, but the oxtails got me hooked.“

“I ordered a large oxtail platter with cabbage, yams rice & beans. My yams were very hairy like they were canned yams. I usually order mac & cheese instead. The rest was pretty good it just seems like every visit the oxtail become less & less (stingy).“

I went to this Jamaican restaurant for lunch and I ordered macaroni and cheese and corn bread and I noticed they had oxtail on their menu and I told they lady who worked there that I never had oxtail and I was told by my family and friends that oxtail is so good so the the lady asked if I wanted to order a platter I said no because I already brought fried chicken and I just want the Mac and cheese and corn bread to eat with my chicken so she was kind enough to ask me if I wanted to sample the oxtail and I said yes she then hand me a small cup with oxtail and gravy. OMG that oxtail was tender and falling off the bone. It tasted like beef stew and the gravy was AWESOME so awesome that I was licking the gravy off my fingers. I will definitely be ordering a oxtail platter from this restaurant in the near future. 😋“

“This place is deliiiicious. I’ve only done pick up. Not sure anyone ever actually eats there. It’s encased with plastic, kinda loud from some big fans, hard to hear. But absolutely none of that matters because they have the best jerk chicken you can get in Philly (in my experience so far). I lived in Florida for a while and ate a lot of jerk chicken. And this place does it right. Glad I came in and tried it! The people are nice. I’m a repeat customer. And I have no intention of stopping.“

The food was very good, so I changed my review to higher. The service was good too. The prices were frankly a deal.
I would give 5 stars, but you have to either bring cash, or use their 3 dollar surcharge ATM which was inconvenient.

Where to start… Trappixx is an amazing place to have a family dinner, date night, solo dinner etc. The Staff are amazing, friendly and on top of everything everything was a 10/10 best Jamaican food I’ve tasted ! “Just ordered for me and a co worker from door dash. We got whiting fish, potato salad, collard greens, Mac and cheese, mixed vegetables. The food was rocking!! We didn't get to take pictures because we were on break kudos to the chef!!“

“We’ve been in this neighborhood for a bit and I’m so upset we haven’t been here sooner. Wowww. We got the large jerk chicken platter which comes with 2 sides. My jaw dropped when I opened the container. They know how to give you food for the price, which is a blessing with how much it can cost to eat out now a days and how some places charge so much for so little- that’s not this place. The chicken was so juicy, flavorful and tender. Collards were seasoned well and don’t get me started on the mac and cheese.. I can easily be sat in front of a whole plate of that. I wanted to call after my meal just to say thank you to whoever is in that kitchen. Thank you angels! Everyone go get yourself a platter and a yummy juice or soda. I’ll have to report back with a pic next time. Def will be ordering again! My partner is from the south too and loved it.“
