“First time to Black Eyed Susan's and it really was such a delight. The vibe inside was very cozy and inviting, they had a wood fire going in the fireplace, the lights were perfectly dimmed. We were greeted warmly, our coats checked. My drink, the "you had me at aloe," was the prefect blend of fruity and fresh - and the passion fruit pearls atop the drink were so fun - a little burst of flavor! My husband couldn't decide on a wine, and they kindly let him have a small taste of one before he committed - in the end he went with a lovely Sangiovese Red. We left feeling FULL. The prices here are not cheap, but the serving size you get for the price is a good value. We took home portions of our entrees, and the only apps we had were the sour dough bread and olives - of which we also took some home. Typically I don't venture this far north on the island, but for the tasty food and bevies I would make the trip again.”

“It's our first time at Harvey Cedars (in February!) and we arrived famished. A quick google search revealed that Ray's was open and serving. We only had an hour to eat, but luckily it was just 2 minutes down the Boulevard. Not only was the pizza served hot and fresh within minutes of our order --- with some of the freshest, crispiest, lightest, airy delicious crust I've ever tasted! -- but the friendly owner/server gave us an extra slice on the house! It was the most amazing chicken bacon ranch pizza I've ever had. We are Ray Sunset pizza fans for life!”

“Lovely place to spend Easter brunch greeted warmly by all staff the place was decorated with pansies and roses and candles. Brunch for the two of us, we selected the artichoke soup with poached lobster, the asparagus galette, the lamb shepherds pie, the buckwheat crêpe with ham and egg and for dessert we topped it off with chocolate trifle and toffee carrot cake. The food was phenomenal. The service was excellent. A perfect brunch if there ever was one.”

“Amazing food right on the bay. We bring our boat and park in the public docks. if they are not available polly’s will let you park for a small fee. Polly’s is also good but a different vibe. nowhere near as nice.”

“Everything about this place is amazing! Delicious, fresh, healthy food, chill atmosphere, awesome staff. I've been coming here for years since being vegan and have brought many of my non-vegan friends and family members and they love it too! The owners and staff are very sweet and personable, the food and service never disappoint! My boyfriend has celiac disease so he's extremely sensitive to gluten and very cautious to trust places without a dedicated GF kitchen, but he's never had any issue eating here and the staff always takes care of us! Extremely grateful to have this place! Cannot say enough positive words.”

Chile relleno, al pastor tacos, elotes, rice and beans. I was in cozumel 5 days ago and this was like I had never left. If anyone needs me, I'll be in a food coma.”

“Detroit style pizza is hard to find in New Jersey. Try this place! The dough is light and airy even though it's thick. The cheese cooked on the outside is delicious. Only open 2 days a week currently and need to call ahead for ordering but it's worth it. Great quality and unique! We tried each of the current types offered : cheese, pepperoni, and burrata. Everyone had a different favorite but all were great!”

“Impressed with the quality of the fresh food. Everything in the deli case looked fresh! I ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich with vodka sauce and ricotta. It was really good. The bread was excellent and the cutlet was really big. The sandwich is huge. I also got some rolls and Irish soda bread to go and a cappuccino. The Irish soda bread was excellent. The rolls were soft on the inside but the outside was a bit tough. Overall, I highly recommend this spot. They have an area outside to eat there that is enclosed and heated in the colder months.”

“Definitely one of the top restaurants in Manahawkin/LBI area. My pasta dish was amazing, and service was great. Only downside to this place is it’s not huge and they don’t take reservations. We lucked out and got a front parking spot and table fairly quick. They also have a cool little outside area with a drink truck and a fire pit. This makes the waiting part a lot more bearable (keep in mind we only waited about 15-20 mins anyway). Overall, great experience. Certainly a spot you should try this summer if you’ve never been.”

“I rarely eat ice cream, and I rarely leave reviews. When I decide to do both, you will know that I want to talk about something good or something terrible ? I prefer to eat quality ice cream. I am an RN, and I have been on call in this area since this morning. I found this location on Google on my way home (have a 45-minute commute ahead of me), and I chose this place over a few other local places. I ordered a raspberry chocolate milkshake. This ice cream is soooooo good, and soooooo rich and creamy, that I am still in the parking lot and writing this review (not even done with the shake). The shake is thick, but the flavor of this ice cream...AMAZING. I haven't had ice cream like this since I was a kid. I do not live locally, but I plan to be back. I initially thought the cost was a bit pricey for a small shake, especially since most places don't use or make the best ice cream...and they end up drowning whatever flavor that you ask for in milk. Well, that was not the case today. The shake was thick and delicious, and it was 100% worth every single penny. The service was prompt, and the servers were courteous. I will definitely be back when I work in this area again. What a perfect find, especially before the summer months! If you know the difference between ordinary ice cream, and quality ice cream, treat yourself and come here. I can't wait to try some of the other flavors. Yummy! “If you love chowder, this should be a must stop location for you. This no frills chowder hut is some of the best in the area. Their New England chowder is honestly some of the best I've ever had. Creamy but not too rich and packed with flavor, it would be a sin to skip out on this. Get it in a bread bowl and it's plenty to share! Who could resist the crusty bread and chowder combo. And don't be deterred with its cold out, you can easily get everything to go!”
