“We had a surprise 50th birthday party for my sister in law and got our cake, cookies, and pastries from Rispoli’s Pastry Shop in Hawthorne. The cake was tremendous and everything was outstanding. The attention to detail for what I wanted was phenomenal. The owners and staff are incredible and accommodating and I received many compliments on the design as well as the cookies and pastries. “We got our wedding cake from Calandra's Bakery. They have so many flavors to choose from, and their cakes are magnificent works of art! We got a four tier cake to feed 250 people. We had such a good time at our tasting, sampling all the different flavor combinations, and enjoying some complimentary coffee. The flavors we chose were vanilla cake with chocolate pudding, chocolate and vanilla cake with Italian custard and strawberries, and chocolate cake with dulce de leche. Their dulce de leche is the best I have ever tasted! Designing the cake was super easy and so fun! If you want a cake that not only looks spectacular, but tastes just as good, Calandra's is it!“

“I went to Calandra’s Italian Village and had one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was amazing! fresh bread, perfectly cooked pasta, and everything just tasted like it was made with love.

Our server Jayson was awesome. Super friendly, really attentive, and made some great recommendations from the menu. He made the whole night feel easy and fun, like we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

“Appreciation post😃 Since 4 days my freshly turned teenage daughter has been saying one thing when I ask her what you want to do on New Year’s Eve …” I want to have kudos bubble tea as the last thing I drink in 2022”. It’s been a tough few months for her and i wanted to make sure she gets her wish. So yesterday morning I called kudos. Asked when they will close for the day. They said 10pm. We scheduled all our plans in such a way that at 9pm we go and get the much anticipated bubble tea. At 9 my husband, son and daughter headed out to kudos… only to find that they have closed at 7 for a private event. This is my back story. On the other side of the story… which probably has its own back story… Cherie the owner had shut the bakery as her daughter wanted to celebrate with her friends and family. As a mother myself I can totally understand that. When she saw my family she informed them that they are closed. But when she heard we had called in morning and saw my daughters dejected face… she opened her doors. Made a quick bubble tea and even gave some extra cookies as a New Years treat. My kids came back so happy saying “mommy it was a holiday miracle!” Thank you Kudo Society Cafe. For providing us one last 2022 miracle. Thank you Cherie for understanding. We have been Kudos patrons since it was at palisades park but now we are die hard advocating neighbors of yours. Ps: pic of the cookie treat. My son ate the red velvet on way home.“

“Amazing bakery, there are lots of delicious pastries, breads, cakes, coffee etc. and they are all artisan. They have renovated the interior so it is a lot nicer to sit inside with friends and family or by yourself. The cakes are delicious and always good to take away for occasions. I'm very happy with what they have done to this place, and I look forward to returning many more times to come.“
