From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Joe Esposito, the owner, has created something truly special here, a place that feels like a true Italian family table. Joe’s passion for real, old-world cooking shines through in every detail, and you can tell he pours his heart into making sure every guest has an unforgettable experience. Our waiter, Oscar, was outstanding. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, he took such good care of us and made the evening flow perfectly. The entire staff was professional, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do, it’s that rare combination of efficiency and warmth that turns a good meal into a great memory. Now, let’s talk about the stuffed artichoke. I haven’t had one like this in over half a century — not since my grandmother made them when I was a child. The first bite took me straight back to her kitchen. Tender, perfectly seasoned, and filled with that classic, soulful stuffing… it was pure nostalgia on a plate. I honestly got a little emotional. If you love traditional Italian appetizers done right, you have to order this. Everything else we tried was equally delicious, but that artichoke alone is worth the trip. “With all the competition Johnny's faces in Mahwah, Ramsey, Allendale, and Suffern they have clearly shown from opening day to the present why they are the top choice. Every aspect of a business a customer would want they excel (product, cleanliness, customer service, and menu options). Besides a superlative slice of pizza their Sicilian is larger than others without being burnt on top (commonly found elsewhere), and their version of the Deep Dish slice is tremendous. “Got invited to a #yelp event. I said pizza. I’m in. This place is kind of hidden but well worth it. Many pizza slices available. Soon as you walked in and smell the greatness you are going to have. The had sandwiches as well. I decided to get the Popeye slice (spinach & ricotta) and a prosciutto slice. Oh my goodness was amazing!! They had about 10 flavors of gelato to pick from as well. I got a scoop of the pistachio & a scoop of fruity pebbles. I was told by the owners daughter who was at register (very polite & friendly) they make them in house. I had to drive little of 30 min to get there. If you’re in the area stop by or if you like me take a ride. You won’t be sorry. There’s a fountain outside where you or the kids can cool off. “Had a 70th birthday party catered in December. Food was delicious. Everyone was talking about it, and were thrilled to take some home for the next day. And, they deliver!! Great good, great price. Highly recommend them for catering and eating at the restaurant itself.“

“We recently tried Mario’s Pizza and Pasta and ordered a meat lovers pizza along with a beef empanada and a chorizo empanada.

The pizza was decent, there was a good amount of meat toppings, which we appreciated, but overall it didn’t really stand out or wow us. It was satisfying for sure, just not something we’d go out of our way for.

The empanadas, on the other hand, were excellent. They seemed to be Argentinian-style and were packed with flavor. Both the beef and chorizo were well-seasoned and delicious, and the sauce they came with really elevated them even more.

Overall, we’d come back to try a pizza with fewer toppings to see if that makes a difference and definitely for the empanadas!“

“This restaurant is a self serve, me and my kids always love this Italian restaurant, every time we go to Bergen Town center and in a mood for Italian food this place is out go to, it's been here since they opened this outlet store and the taste of their food is consistent, its price is reasonable and they taste fresh, the server is nice and they are fast and efficient, inside they have enough table and sitting area to enjoy the food they also have a bathroom for customers, considering it's a fast food style this Italian food is one of the best in this area and I recommend for everyone that goes in Bergen town to give it a try.“

“We love Spinachio! We came here before Dave portnoy reviewed them and I thought I rated them but I forgot! Anyways I always eat the food before and today finally snapped a pic! We love their food and not just pizza! Their soups are amazing and super flavorful. I’ve had the chicken noodle and straticella. The pizzas are always amazing. Fresh ingredients and delicious full of flavor. I haven’t tried a slice that I didn’t like. Today we got the vodka rigitini and omh it was so different but amazing. Creamy and cheesy. The regular pie we got well done so a bit more crispy. The fries were cajón and super good a bit soggy but very good. The time of the fries wasn’t cut out like the rest of the tins. They do that so it doesn’t get soggy. I love how they do that. The mozzy sticks are so good too cheesy and crispy! Owners are super friendly and recognize me and my husbands family. We probably come here maybe every 2 weeks when we are in the area. Highly recommend!!! And will always come back!“

I called on Monday spoke to Stepanie and she was very apologetic. She suggested i pick them up. Which I did. Long story short. They replaced it with 4 empanadas. Great customer service. “Martio's is my go-to pizza spot. Whenever we have family visiting, it’s a must-stop so they can experience some truly fantastic pizza. The dough is perfect, with just the right amount of crust. “I have had two catering events from turbines and I would highly recommend them. I always used the Market basket. Their francese sauce is absolutely fantastic, the stuffed lasagna excellent and the best Ceasar salad I ever had. I will continue to use them for all my special events aside from just normal orders for the best pizza and sandwiches. They are super nice and if able to customize an order they do it no problem. They usually have specialty slices Ed gets very creative making delicious combinations.
