“Not sure what the point was of making a reservation! We were about 10 minutes late, admittedly, and they sat two tables of walk ins in the meantime citing “5 minute grace period”. We then stood there for 30+ minutes waiting and still weren't sat so we left. As I was standing in the doorway waiting (the place is very small and styled poorly), a table of 4 came in on time for their reservation and were told it would be 45 minutes before they could be sat. We've been here before and the food is good, BYOB, price is right- but the staff totally mismanaged the calendar and didn't take appropriate steps to fix the problem or even apologize.“

“Amazing experience from start to finish. I'm always a little concerned about dining close to closing, but I was pleasantly surprised — nothing felt rushed or slapped together. The pasta tasted truly homemade: rich, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they put so much care into every dish. The service was sincere and warm, which made the whole meal feel even more special. Such a beautiful little spot that I'd love to return to... but since we live in Hawaii, who knows when! Still, absolutely worth the visit.“

“Delicious genuine Tuscan menu specializing in pasta.“
“Been a realtor in Brooklyn most my life and you know what they say location location location well this time it’s Pasta pasta pasta I’m mean it’s just pasta however if you like pasta and you don’t make it yourself this is the only place when in Brooklyn you need to go. If you care about fresh pasta—whether you’re a chef, a serious home cook, or simply someone who values true quality—this is a must-visit destination. A genuine temple of fresh pasta, and a place Brooklyn can proudly call its own. Beyond the pasta, the shop has a high-end Italian market vibe with a great selection of sauces, imported pantry staples, fresh mozzarella, and more — all at fair prices for New York City. It somehow strikes the perfect balance between old-school Italian neighborhood charm and quality you’d expect from a top artisanal producer. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better, they let me taste their soon-to-be-offered sourdough pizza. Without question, that pizza alone is going to put this place on another level. Once it officially launches, expect lines as far as the eye can see — just for the pizza. If you want to buy a house come see me if it’s pasta and pizza you’re after go see Savinos! Hey but don’t take my word for it what do I know’, go and see for yourself. Tell em Battaglia sent you’ you could thank me later! Love B…“

“Went with my husband for dinner, the food was delicious and fresh. My favorite thing was definitely the ricotta cake! Also Simon was amazing, professional and very knowledgeable about the menu, and amaros and grappas. He helped me pick out one I would like, since I wasn’t familiar with any of the ones they had on the menu. Overall a lovely experience. Will definitely be back!“

“La Trafila is an absolute gem for anyone who loves real Italian pasta. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the passion and precision behind every strand of pasta they produce. This isn’t just a pasta shop — it’s a celebration of Italian tradition, texture, and taste.
What sets La Trafila apart is their dedication to freshness and authenticity. Every shape, from the delicate tagliolini to the perfectly ridged rigatoni, is crafted with care using traditional bronze dies (trafile in Italian — now you get the name!). The result? Pasta that holds sauce beautifully and cooks to perfection every time.
Whether you’re a home cook, a chef, or just a pasta lover, this place is heaven. Their seasonal specials are creative and delicious — think truffle-infused tagliatelle or pumpkin gnocchi in the fall. And the team? Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and proud of their work, as they should be.
La Trafila is a rare find in New York: a place where quality, tradition, and innovation meet. Once you try their pasta, there’s no going back.
Bravi!“

“cameriera italiana con capelli corti. scortese e molto maleducata. non tornerò piu. non ha saputo ne servire il cliente oltre al fatto che dovrebbe farsi un corso di corretto italiano prima di parlare con un cliente in quel modo. pessima pubblicità al locale. peccato e mi dispiace ma non tornerò più.“

“Girls' dinner! This spot was definitely a hit, from the ambiance to the service and, of course, the delicious food. We started off with a glass of rosé and a spicy margarita, followed by the shrimp scampi and beef empanadas our waiter recommended, both were incredible and a must. For our main dish, we decided to share the roasted chicken with squash, and let me just say, it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and absolutely mouthwatering with every bite. To finish things off, we had warm chocolate chip cookies served with soft serve, the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Truly one of my favorite dinners in New York, I'll definitely be coming back soon!“

“Jenn did such an amazing job taking care of me at Ruby Tuesday! It was my first time visiting The Mills at Jersey Gardens, which you can imagine is a very overwhelming experience (especially in December!). I decided to come to Ruby Tuesday to figure out a game plan & decompress and she was nothing short of kind, responsive, and prompt!! I would definitely come back to Ruby Tuesday for Jenn’s service and kindness(:“

“I love coming here whenever I’m in the Heights because there’s always something new on the menu. If you’re grabbing a bite around lunchtime, you cant beat the focaccia and sandwiches– but the rotating soups/stews on the menu are like a hidden gem. If you come earlier, get one of their delicious cappuccinos and a sampling of pastries. Pictured is a brioche filled with fresh ricotta and lemon curd. Just perfect!“

“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“
