“Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“

“Such a lovely experience overall! Came here to catch up with my cousin who lives in Hoboken and wanted to try somewhere neither of us have been before. It’s so quaint and beautiful inside loved all the decor. The staff is so friendly and a good balance of accommodating but letting you just enjoy being at dinner together without the feel of being rushed out. The cocktails were amazingggg, I found myself chugging without even realizing because I just enjoyed it so much. The food was amazing and filling as well. We got the steak and chicken for dinner and the tuna for appetizer. Would definitely come here again, such a vibe. A lot of the people around us were speaking other languages than English too which I loved, felt like a real melting pot!
They also shut the lights off to sing happy birthday to another table which was really cute because it made us all get involved!“

“So glad that what was formerly It’s Pinsa did not close and instead exists here in Hoboken as Ovale! It was so depressing to see my favorite spots disappear since the pandemic. My favorite pizza! Definitely artisanal and well-crafted. The unique dough blend and lengthy time for fermentation makes the mouth feel and experience a stand-out and crave-worthy! So light and tasty with just the right amounts of each ingredient for a satisfying, balanced and crusty bite. I always get the red funghi pie as I don’t eat mammals. Everyone I’ve brought loves it too and selects different options. It never disappoints! I’m a big eater and I often take home a slice or two. It’s a smaller joint than the earlier location with just a few indoor seats and some outdoor seating depending on the season. I love to bring my dog here after we play in the big dog park a few blocks away. Highly recommended!“

“Giving a 4 star for the food as it was very good. Pizza was excellent and the two pasta dishes were good. Portions were smaller than expected for the price. Service was friendly but our server was preoccupied and needed to be reminded about the drink. The pizza was the highlight of the meal.“

“Great crispy crust, solid cantilever. Classic’s sauce a bit garlic based for my taste, but great sauce to mozz ratio. The delfino was very good. Looking forward to trying the others. Best large format pizza I’ve had this side of the Hudson. Worth the price.

“The first time I had the pizza, I thought it was amazing! I love cracker crust. However, I recently went and the crust wasn't quite the same. The pizza was still delicious, but the crust was a bit chewier. I also purchased the apple dessert pizza which turned out to be a cinnamon oatmeal pizza. So that, I do not recommend.“

The smells will lure you in from a block away and make you circle the block just to get a taste of the amazing amazing food baking in the kitchen. The Grandmas Vodka Chicken Parmigiana Pizza is by far my favorite. My husband really enjoyed the regular chicken Parmigiana Pizza and we really like their avocado salad. However, I think what what made me make the most yummy noises were the garlic twists (see picture). Oh. My. Gawd. They are SO good. I smelled like garlic for two days, but I did not care. If you are in the neighborhood, you must stop in.“

I got the white pizza and regular ; I ate it there it was thin and crispy not too thin though but I remember this being a family owned business back in the day and the pizza was to die for . It is definitely not like it use to be I am sure it’s gone through a couple of owners since 1989 . If you need some pizza fast and you’re hungry and in Hoboken this is the place to stop by .Only problem is parking on the street can be difficult but I found parking right in the front . A man asking for money was waiting by the front and a cute pigeon flew inside I escorted him out by luring him to my left over pizza crusts .“

I recently visited Artichoke Basille’s Pizza in Hoboken, NJ, and had a wonderful experience. I ordered a slice of their artichoke pizza, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and very satisfying.

“My wife and I have been going to Leo’s since we started dating in 1985. It’s our favorite place to eat. Went today for our 38th Wedding anniversary and it was just as good as it was in 1985. Food has not changed. Grace and Linda are great and we felt right at home. I remember Leo like it was yesterday when my parents would take me there in the 70’s and 80’s. We live in Delaware now but visited NJ this week and fought the traffic to make sure we visited Leo’s.“

“We went on a Sunday morning so it was astronomically busy, but the food was worth it. We waited 30 minutes for our to-go order, but it was expected when we saw how many people were inside. We also assumed if all those people were willing to wait then the food would speak for itself. It definitely did. I ordered a gluten free breakfast wrap and it was easily the best gluten free wrap I’ve ever had out. My husband had the Hoboken girl sandwich on sourdough. His smelled impeccable.
