We were there last night 12/16/25 and I had literally the best gin based Martini I have ever tasted. The bartender was highly skilled, personable and engaging. The appetizers were fantastic.

Delicious tapas included Albondigas, Camarones en Salsa De Mango, and Tortilla Española (that potato/cheese/onion treat ) Oh - and the ginormous Land and Sea Paella was superb. Add a coupla glasses of their Lovely Logos Cab, and — just WOW!“

“My cousin just had her wedding here and all I can say is FANTASTIC! The staff AMAZING! That lavender drink wow. Everything about my moon was great. Really the staff was so wonderful. Loved the tapas choices, highly recommend a a less formal wedding choice so much fun.“

“Went here for Saturday brunch.
Not so busy unlike diner cross the street. Few outdoor table as well. Bars in front. Seated indoor right behind high table.
Super tapas. Sangria and cerveza to pair. Jamon triangle, my wife not as keen on Manchester, I didn't mind.
Brunch has sunny-side egg, chorizo, and potato generous portion. Ordered extra pan along. We liked pan con tomato with much generous layer of tomatoes better than Nacional or Little Spain at Hudson Yards. Rice with squid in black ink most exquisite. Not so salty, perfect. Finished with postre a la mode. Nice coffee.
Next time looking forward to order jamon y queso, croqueta and flan, pair with oloroso.“

“This is a hidden jewel. We were spending the night at a nearby airport hotel looking for dinner. We found this and took a chance. It is in the middle of a neighborhood, but don't be fooled this a a Tapas Bar treat. Food, Service, and Drinks were fantastic!“

“I went to El Pingüino about two weeks ago and absolutely loved that they offer happy hour seven days a week and it’s becoming a routine for us!
The hours are 4–7 PM, plus a late-night happy hour from 10 PM to midnight.
Their seafood happy hour is pretty simple they only offer one type of oyster but it was super fresh and delicious. Clean, lightly briny, and perfect with just a squeeze of lemon.
And they have really great basque cheesecake!
The overall vibe is relaxed and easygoing, making it a great spot to unwind after work or grab a late-night drink.
If you’re in Greenpoint and love oysters, this place is definitely worth checking out.“

“Love the intimate vibe, discerning wine list and decor. Food was interesting. We live in the neighborhood and I had the reservation for a couple of weeks. We were kept waiting 20 minutes past our reservation... standing in the very small bar. When finally seated not a soul made mention of the inconvenience. That alone shows total lack of interest in your clientele. We won't go back.“

“If you’re looking for authentic flavor, this is it. The food tastes exactly like home cooking. The rotisserie chicken is juicy and seasoned perfectly, but the beans are the best I've had in the area. This is my new favorite spot for a real Puerto Rican and Dominican meal!“
