“I've been to this location quite a few times since it opened. The service has been good each time. The temperature of the food is always on point. The serving size is just right. Sometimes there is too much salt. The Mongolian beef particularly has been salty. The food has changed since 2020. Some things taste different, such as the crab wonton. Still good, but different and the sauce for dipping is not the same as it was. They have great cocktails. They even make seasonal ones. They have a great selection. Its really dark inside and while I dont mind it , sometimes I wish it was just a little less dark. Music isn't overwhelming. The noise level is not bad. I had the Orange Chicken spicy and it was delicious. Not too spicy, but the temperature was definitely hot. The pork dumplings were good as well, but again the sauce has changed for this one too. Bathrooms were clean. Parking can be challenging (it's at a mall so not all the time) small area for waiting to be seated.“

“This is the only place I feel safe ordering in from as someone with food allergies. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they are so accommodating with the dishes. You get big portions for a good price and the food is always so fresh. I also have a super stomach with some problems so I always feel icky eating out and since the food is cooked in high quality oil I never feel icky after eating here which is SO rare for me. The owner is incredibly kind and told me how she also has food allergies and is happy to make modifications and help. It’s so rare that restaurants welcome modifications and she always does so for me. I’ve never gotten sick here and it’s the one restaurant I feel comfortable ordering in from and look forward to doing so every week. The entire staff is helpful and are always kind and respectful even when the phone is ringing like crazy and there’s a line for pick up. They never rush you and always make you feel welcome. A local gem- thank you to the incredibly owner for giving us allergy people a safe place with delicious food and for accommodating me with a smile. I appreciate you so much. “This place has been my go-to Chinese spot to get food from the foods pretty good the service there is great the ladies that take your order are very sweet very genuine and they always make you laugh. Me and my family have been ordering here for I don't know how long but it's our go-to spot, the food portions are good and the prices for most things are fair.“

“New Year's Eve was very cold outside We were seated in the front of the bar next to the folding doors which were very drafty and every time I the front door opened we felt an arctic blast. Not much Ryan the manager could do. We spoke to him about getting a different table in a warmer spot but none available. We just laughed it off and tried to enjoy our dinner. portions were large and our waiter, Regall? Suggested sharing which worked out great. Kung Pao chicken and pork fried rice was good but our location cooled the food quickly. Manager and waiter could not have been more apologetic and friendly. “Mongolian Beef was much closer to Mongolian Onion, not much beef at all. Crab Rangoon didn’t have much filling in them and the dough wasn’t great. Other things we ordered were good though (Fried Rice, Dumplings, General Tso’s Chicken, Wonton Soup). Would return but wouldn’t re-order a couple of the plates we got.“

“Authentic Chinese food at a reasonable price. Water and tea are self-serving. We ordered Sweet & Sour Pork Chop, Seafood Rice Cakes and Mapo Tofu with pork, all were delicious. Will try something different next time.

“My husband and I are pretty picky when it comes to Chinese food and Panda House satisfies every time.

We are a huge fan of their homemade dumplings. I would say the dumplings are some of the best in the area. The owners are really kind and friendly too!!“

“Surprising we hadn’t tried this place all these years living here as it was a lovely lunch we recently had.

Famous Freddy served us and treated us like long lost friends even though it was our first time. Table service is nice with tablecloths and a nice decor. Our special requests were accommodated and Freddy regaled us with lively conversation.

We enjoyed the cold sesame noodles, the sauce a little on the loose side for my taste but it was fine otherwise. Vegetable Lo Mein was as expected and the General Tso’s tofu was also very good. I prefer a different style for the sauce(darker/spicier) and tofu(firm ripped pieces vs soft cubes) but I’ve had this style before as well and it’s fine.

Addl hot sauce was provided and overall we enjoyed the meal.“

“The only negative I have (and it’s a big one and has happened 4-5 times now), I order no onion in my pepper steak and they add a $2 extra meat fee. I didn’t ask for extra meat to compensate for lack of veggies , and I don’t like it added without it being acknowledged or even approved/denied.. really not okay with that decision being made without my knowledge of it and will say something next time..

However when it comes to the food? Do it. Our usual orders are a some kind of mix of chicken&broccoli, pepper steak, boneless ribs, sesame chicken, fried wontons… everything has been great every time. One of the “better “ meats when it comes to both the chicken and the beef.. delivery is uncomfortably fast at times lol. Prices are average to anywhere else around here but the portions are great. Would definitely reccomend.“

“Best lo mein in the area. I get mine with roast pork. This was my secondary place after House of Chong, also in Middletown, which has unfortunately been lacking lately. Tai Hing just moved up to number one. They are cleverly closed on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, since so many restaurants are closed then. The prices are also really fair and a good value. RB has a plethora of fantastic higher end restaurants but we were looking for quality at a good price and… we found it at Oriental Empire. Fusion offerings were pretty standard but the taste was amazing. Ordering the Pad See Ew and it was delicious, as good as I’ve had. Service was impeccable and a very relaxed atmosphere. “This is not our usual place. Either is the one across the street, which we ordered the day before and we’re extremely disappointed to the point that we wanted Chinese again the following night and we chose Golden Jade. Flat-out great food here and I knew it because it’s family run and everyone was friendly. You can tell they take pride in their cooking. We had fried dumplings which would great - they give you 8 and my only critique is they need more filling but the taste is great. The house lomein and house fried rice were outstanding. Fresh and not over sauced. The chicken and broccoli and the general tso chicken were what you expect in the taste department and we’re done very well. Their egg rolls were tasty. The highlight though was the boneless spareribs. So many places get this wrong - these were the best I’ve had in the area even topping my usual place. They had the right amount of glaze, weren’t tough and were made completely using rib meat. Sweet, salty, and easy to chew. This place didn’t disappoint and if it’s a battle between Golden Jade or the one across the street in the junction, Golden Jade is easily the winner.“

“We only get take out althoiugh they have maybe 3-4 tables for many years. Food has been consistantly great. Husband and wife team and very nice people. I love their house special soup but have not had anything that was not good here! Any reviews that are not stellar are likely from competitors!

“This is a typical Chinese takeout place with all the familiar dishes and lunch menu items at a typically fair price. Staff is friendly. I wish there wasn't a 10 dollar minimum for credit cards (who carries cash?) but that's not their fault. Food is exactly what you'd expect if you've ever had "hole in the wall" takeout before.“

Their food is always good, fresh and delivered quickly...even if they say 35 minutes it is at your door in 20. They accommodate special menu requests with no problem and offer lunch specials and have coupons. “I moved from NJ a few years ago and one of the things I miss is Eastern empire. Their food was always so tasty, fresh and delicious. I worked nearby so I would go here quite frequently for dinner. I would even go on my days off!! My favorite dish was the Thai dish beef with mushrooms, yummy. I've learned to make it at home but it's not quite there yet, almost. And chicken or shrimp with garlic sauce, wonton soup and hot and sour soup. There was something in their wonton soup that was different than any other I've tasted.. delicious. Szechuan chicken was also very good although a little sweet and comes with a lot more vegetables than meat. They did forget the rice with our order so check the bag.“

“I drive out of my way to come here. Big chunks of chicken with a thin coating. Chicken fried rice has huge pieces of chicken, but needed a little more flavor. It's very rare that I've ordered anything that I don't have to add anything to salt or pepper soy sauce duck sauce that type of things, but I haven't had to add anything to enhance the flavor of their food everything I've ordered from there has been just perfectly delicious!!! The one dish that I've absolutely fell in love with is there shrimp noodle soup! It's packed with noodles and they're not stingy with the shrimp! And the gravy that comes with their Egg Foo Young is exquisite. I've decided that every time I order (and mind you I really don't like to experiment when it comes to food) but I'm going to try at least one thing that I have never tried before. So far I've had the house special fried rice, the house special lo mein, the house special egg foo young, the chicken noodle soup, the egg drop wonton mix soup and again I'm going to mention the shrimp noodle soup. The rice is perfectly done that comes with the egg foo young. Anyway I just want it to get my opinion on what I think is great takeout. One day soon I'm going to actually go and dine in. “Liu's Garden has some of the best Chinese food in Central Jersey. They have an expanded menu with nice mixture of meat and vegetarian options. There online ordering is good in capturing most of the menu and allows for additions or changes. There is a small convenience fee for online orders though.“
