“Great sushi place. It's a very small restaurant that could only hold a few tables. Food is great. I did take out here because it was much quicker. I would come back again for the sushi rolls. There is plenty of parking in the lot. There are great lunch specials here. Food came quick as soon as I ordered. You can free the sushi chef making the food from the front door. It was good to see them creating the food.“

“I had heard so many good things about Nikko's so I stopped by for a take out meal the other day. From the time I walked through the door, I had a great experience. The decor is really nice, the restaurant clean and the people working there are even nicer and very helpful. I ordered the seafood hibachi entree. The smell was so good I couldn't wait to get home to eat it. I wasn't disappointed. The meal was delicious, plentiful and made with FRESH ingredients“

“Came for dinner on Friday around 6:30pm. Recommend making reservation on Friday Evening otherwise take a seat at the bar or will need to wait. The fish was fresh and presentation done well. Seeing the chefs put the dishes together was a nice experience as well. A bit slow with the order but most likely its because the place was full. Would recommend 18 pieces sashimi, salmon tartar and tako su. Over all a great place to stop by if you want fresh sushi and want to bring in your liquor.“

“Sono has always been our go to for delicious fresh sushi. Tonight there was a delay with our pick up....it's lent. We get it - they even gave us 2 free sodas to apologize. Then 2 hours later they send us an apology text. Honesty and apologetic. Now that's a classy move!“

“We are pretty picky about fresh sushi since we have our usual go-to spots, but this place really impressed us. The sushi tasted fresh, and the quality felt a step above the typical sushi places we usually try. The poke bowl was really good too, and the chicken katsu was crispy and satisfying 👍“

“Signed up for the hibachi experience with high expectations. Safe to say, I was not disappointed.

Our group is on the introverted side, and a tough crowd to boot. However, within minutes the chef had us engaged and on our toes throughout. At the end, we received a balloon on top of the already superb showmanship.

She already knows our favorite sushi rolls and always makes our visit pleasant. Our favorite hibachi cook is Joe. He always makes us laugh and makes our dining experience a memorable one! “One of our favorite Japanese restaurants. It is a small place in a shopping center with some seating (we have never had a problem getting seated and definitely plenty of folks who do pickup).

We usually get a mix of the vegetarian sushi options, different appetizers, and I always get their fried rice...it is my favorite. Our picker eater daughter is always excited to go here. The staff are always very friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. Definitely recommend if you are in the area and want something quick and tasty.“

RB has a plethora of fantastic higher end restaurants but we were looking for quality at a good price and… we found it at Oriental Empire. Fusion offerings were pretty standard but the taste was amazing. Ordering the Pad See Ew and it was delicious, as good as I’ve had. Service was impeccable and a very relaxed atmosphere. “I’ve been living in Freehold for 27 years, yet I couldn’t even name another food court restaurant, let alone endear myself to any so much as I have Little Tokyo. When I was a little girl, I would so look forward to their INIMITABLE teriyaki dark meat chicken samples, and I spent my first wages ever on an actual meal from this place. It is a time-tested fixture at the Freehold mall, a must-have if you ever work or shop here and still a reliably fast and delicious option for me when I am in the area. I’m pretty sure I’ve been helped by the exact same woman at the front of the line my entire life, and she gives me a big smile every time I see her. I’ve tried teriyaki/bourbon chicken at other malls all over the state, and this is the only one that is not only delicious, but is prepared in way that is not greasy. This is truly the only place I will go for Americanized Chinese food and enjoy it at all. My go-to: 2 sides, 2 entrees - string beans and plantains, double teriyaki chicken. Even post-pandemic, the price is unbeatable for the amount of food you get.“

“In town for an event, 8 of us went out for dinner. Everything was so delicious, the 3 of us still in town the next day went back the next night for round two.I personally enjoyed the Red Curry Chicken and Beef Pad Thai. Especially of note is their General Tso's Chicken which was ordered both nights, as it is mostly chicken, not cheap breading like a lot of other places. The Shrimp Shumi were also reordered on day two. The prices were completely reasonable as well. I would 100% return to this restaurant for round three.

Parking: Parking was easy as not a lot of people were there when we were, however I could see it getting crowded when busy.

I liked it better than sushi that cost 3x as much, everything was really fresh and the special rolls were really creative combinations, we had the Krusty Krab roll and the Black Angel Roll and were blown away. The fried rice had a really great flavor too, a sign of a great chef to make fried rice memorable!! We eat sushi a lot and I've never felt so strongly about a place that I went and wrote a review, this is really something special!!“

The all you can eat menu is a huge plus with tons of options, and everything comes out quick without sacrificing quality.
