The outside doesn’t do the inside justice, very nicely organized and clean establishment with beautiful inside decor.We were seated immediately and our server was very friendly and took care of us a party of 4.I ordered the yakitori as a starter , it was delicious and tasty, perfectly grilled. It came with a peanut butter sauce which was really good , just not what I personally like so I swapped it for spicy mayo which was also delicious and had a nice kick.I started off with a drink and got an old fashion, it was tasty and strong! “I’ve seen people in the reviews say this is expensive but that’s a little surprising to me, especially in an expensive area like this, I’ve found the prices to be exactly what you’d expect for a higher end lounge/restaurant with excellent food like this. Everything I’ve had from here in the dozen or so times I’ve had it has been excellent, although I do find the cooked food better than the sushi. I've had their teriyaki tofu and teriyaki chicken dinner bento box along with plenty of their sushi rolls and the food is always so rich and fresh. Their Godzilla sushi roll is very yummy as well. When I was a little girl, I would so look forward to their INIMITABLE teriyaki dark meat chicken samples, and I spent my first wages ever on an actual meal from this place. It is a time-tested fixture at the Freehold mall, a must-have if you ever work or shop here and still a reliably fast and delicious option for me when I am in the area. I’m pretty sure I’ve been helped by the exact same woman at the front of the line my entire life, and she gives me a big smile every time I see her. I’ve tried teriyaki/bourbon chicken at other malls all over the state, and this is the only one that is not only delicious, but is prepared in way that is not greasy. This is truly the only place I will go for Americanized Chinese food and enjoy it at all. My go-to: 2 sides, 2 entrees - string beans and plantains, double teriyaki chicken. Even post-pandemic, the price is unbeatable for the amount of food you get.“

“We usually order our Chinese from their competition across the street but they are closed for 2 weeks so when we got aki menu in the mail we decided to try it. We ordered the lunch special mixed veggies with pork fried rice and wonton soup and also got an egg roll. The food was excellent. The rice was not dried out and had good flavor. The brown sauce on the veggies had great flavor and the veggies were cooked perfectly. The wonton soup broth had nice flavor and the wonton melted in your mouth. Their prices are much cheaper than their closest competitor. We will definitely be ordering from aki again.“

“Kissui Sushi is a casual, neighborhood sushi place. We always get a warm reception when we walk in. It’s been around for many years. Nowadays it seems a bit quiet and slightly dated but we always enjoy getting a quick, reasonably priced dinner here. The rolls are fresh and I like their salad dressing, it has a great sesame flavor, I prefer it over the orangey ones that other Japanese restaurants serve. The miso soup is full of tofu and seaweed, they certainly don’t skimp on the goodies in the soup. The tempura is lightly fried and yummy.“
