“Great sushi place. It's a very small restaurant that could only hold a few tables. Food is great. I did take out here because it was much quicker. I would come back again for the sushi rolls. There is plenty of parking in the lot. There are great lunch specials here. Food came quick as soon as I ordered. You can free the sushi chef making the food from the front door. It was good to see them creating the food.“

The decor is really nice, the restaurant clean and the people working there are even nicer and very helpful. I ordered the seafood hibachi entree. “We came here for our anniversary dinner and they did not disappoint at all! I accidentally forgot to mention my shellfish allergy when ordering my sushi tasting. When I informed my waitress upon receiving the food, she immediately helped replace the shellfish items, even though it was my fault. The fish quality was very good and the tasting was absolutely delicious. We brought our 2 year old and he enjoyed the noodles as well. Would recommend strongly to anyone!“

“Signed up for the hibachi experience with high expectations. Safe to say, I was not disappointed.

Our group is on the introverted side, and a tough crowd to boot. However, within minutes the chef had us engaged and on our toes throughout. At the end, we received a balloon on top of the already superb showmanship.

The food itself was pretty good. The service, excellent. The atmosphere, phenomenal. Definitely an experience I would come back for.“

“Food is very different from the original place Mahzu which is to be expected as it is a different place. Here at Kobe, the hibachi is over sauced and salty and the shrimp and filet mignon is not good quality. The tempura rolls are over fried. The fried rice and noodles are bland and are cooked with way too much margarine or lard as they call it which is a bit greasy and bland. Bring back Mazhu cooks! Nicely decorated. Staff is attentive and friendly.“

“One of our favorite Japanese restaurants. It is a small place in a shopping center with some seating (we have never had a problem getting seated and definitely plenty of folks who do pickup).

We usually get a mix of the vegetarian sushi options, different appetizers, and I always get their fried rice...it is my favorite. Our picker eater daughter is always excited to go here. The staff are always very friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. Definitely recommend if you are in the area and want something quick and tasty.“

“I’ve been living in Freehold for 27 years, yet I couldn’t even name another food court restaurant, let alone endear myself to any so much as I have Little Tokyo. When I was a little girl, I would so look forward to their INIMITABLE teriyaki dark meat chicken samples, and I spent my first wages ever on an actual meal from this place. It is a time-tested fixture at the Freehold mall, a must-have if you ever work or shop here and still a reliably fast and delicious option for me when I am in the area. I’m pretty sure I’ve been helped by the exact same woman at the front of the line my entire life, and she gives me a big smile every time I see her. I’ve tried teriyaki/bourbon chicken at other malls all over the state, and this is the only one that is not only delicious, but is prepared in way that is not greasy. This is truly the only place I will go for Americanized Chinese food and enjoy it at all. My go-to: 2 sides, 2 entrees - string beans and plantains, double teriyaki chicken. Even post-pandemic, the price is unbeatable for the amount of food you get.“

The restaurant is always clean and inviting, the staff friendly, the service very good and the sushi is always fresh and delicious. They have some wonderful special rolls, and the sushi pizza is really good and you get a large portion. The prices are reasonable too. We come here both to dine in and for takeout. It's our go-to sushi place. Easy to get to, and parking has never been a problem, even during busy times. I highly recommend Fuku.“

I liked it better than sushi that cost 3x as much, everything was really fresh and the special rolls were really creative combinations, we had the Krusty Krab roll and the Black Angel Roll and were blown away. The fried rice had a really great flavor too, a sign of a great chef to make fried rice memorable!! Call ahead for takeout and the wait time is never long. Great portions and the food is always hot and ready. Not really a place to dine-in; maybe one or two tables.“

“We found ourselves in the Red Bank area for an event and were looking for a late meal that wouldn’t break the bank. RB has a plethora of fantastic higher end restaurants but we were looking for quality at a good price and… we found it at Oriental Empire. Fusion offerings were pretty standard but the taste was amazing. Ordering the Pad See Ew and it was delicious, as good as I’ve had. Service was impeccable and a very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.“

“In town for an event, 8 of us went out for dinner. Everything was so delicious, the 3 of us still in town the next day went back the next night for round two.I personally enjoyed the Red Curry Chicken and Beef Pad Thai. Especially of note is their General Tso's Chicken which was ordered both nights, as it is mostly chicken, not cheap breading like a lot of other places. The Shrimp Shumi were also reordered on day two. The prices were completely reasonable as well. I would 100% return to this restaurant for round three.

Parking: Parking was easy as not a lot of people were there when we were, however I could see it getting crowded when busy.

This is some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in the States. I’m not sure why there are bad reviews, but I’ll definitely be ordering again.
