“I eat here regularly (at least once a week!) The food is Always fresh and made to order. I've tried many dishes including their stewed okra and turkey, Haitian beans and rice, white rice with fried chicken, black bean sauce, white bean sauce, red bean sauce, they make a very very very very good cabbage salad thing, soooo good. Pretty everything has been amazing. I love that it is clearly a small business ran and operated by family. The food is never greasy and taste like homemade every time.

“Wonderful peaceful atmosphere. Comfy seating with nooks to plug in and work. Locally authored books in the shelves. The chai has a perfect balance of herbs and spices and is not too sweet. Also had an amazing empanada and a freshly baked-on-premises cookie. Love the local focus of this cafe. Will come back again to try the fresh leaf teas and the other empanadas.“

“I visit Sweet Jeans more than once per day when I am working - it really is the BEST cafe I've ever been to. Every single staff member is welcoming, friendly, and treats you like family from your very first visit. The coffee, sandwiches and pastries are literally incredible.

“The food was delectably delicious, the prime cut the best I've ever tasted, the crab cake one of the best. The cheese cake was light as it should be. Be aware, there is no handicapped access, no way of getting past those steep stairs in front; getting up and down was painful to me using a walker; it would have been impossible for someone in a wheelchair. Yes, the 1901 building is historically protected, but there should be a way of building an inoffensive ramp.“

“Pop up dinner at cafe zingara was a one of a kind experience. The newly opened breakfast/lunch spot has become a local favorite so when I heard about the pop up dinner I had to be there. The chefs prepared several appetizer courses and 3 main courses served family-style. There was an abundance of food. The lamb chops were some of the best I’ve had, and the chicken parm on the bone was a unique touch on a classic favorite. Hopefully these dinners will become a regular occurrence because it was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life.“

“I went here today with my cousins actually I don’t know the guys name there but he definitely is experienced, full of joy, and it’s funny bc I bought matcha from him and it was great like he knew what he was doing. However I’m new in the area so I thought I should try the coffee across the street. And it was not bad but redemption rlly was redeeming itself bc of the matcha. I regret not gettting coffee from here. As I walked back with the other coffee he saw us. When we saw him it looked like he thought we betrayed him. “My girlfriend and myself, retired Philadelphia Police Officers were going on a cruise on 9/12/24 out of Cape Liberty. We arrived early and were looking for a cup of coffee and a quick breakfast. Luckily we picked Une Tasse Cafe, the coffee was fantastic and the breakfast wraps and pastries were delicious. The owner was warm and welcoming and introduced us to her dog, who actually let me pet him. I wish this restaurant was closer to where we live, coffee that good is hard to find. I just ordered two pounds on their web site so that I can enjoy it at home. Hopefully on our next cruise we will stop there again.“

So we decided to visit this Cafe28 and we loved it right when we walked in
We fell in love with the atmosphere
The food and service we give 💯
The cuban sandwiches and empanada are awesome
The expresso and coffee are amazing
The prices is very good as well
Juan, & his wife are very attentive to the customers needs and very warm hearted
If anyone is like us and love cafés who are in the area we definitely recommend that you stop in and give Cafe 28 a visit.
