“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. “We had an amazing meal a few weeks ago at Luca’s! We were greeted and seated and waited on promptly. We brought our own wine in which they had no problem opening for us. The food was out of this world. Their meatball appetizer is everything you’ve heard and then some. Incredible sauce, bread service, and our meals were excellent. My partner had the octopus for an appetizer and said it was incredible. Both of our meals were amazing and served timely and piping hot. I had the chicken marsala with mushroom risotto, delicious! “This place has really gone down hill. I think the reason they keep it open is because it’s right across from the movie theater and they have a captive audience. Most of the time, you can walk right in and sit, but the good times end there. Usually, they take forever with orders, the food comes out wrong or has been sitting in the window for 10 minutes and comes out like something from Wawa’s hot and ready food by the checkout. The waiters typically look like they’re running around blindfolded serving 20 tables on their own even though nobody is there. The drinks are yummy like Willy Wonka Made them, and I like the brownies and Jack Daniel’s chicken even if they don’t call it Jack Daniel’s anymore. At least they serve food late unlike the tavern downtown. Five stars.“

Although this restaurant may be a chain, they doesn’t mean the food will be less than stellar.

My girlfriend and I had a flawless dinner in this seafood restaurant.

Table bread:
The bread was served warm; I especially loved dipping the bread in the pesto filled olive oil.

Bang bang shrimp:
This signature appetizer was piled high and deep with shrimp with shredded lettuce at the bottom. The seafood was smothered in sweet Thai chili sauce and sriracha.

Be sure to mix the lettuce with the shrimp.

Chopsticks are included, but they are not necessary.

Chimichurri Bistro Filet:
The tender, juicy 8-ounce steak was served medium rare.

Pre-slicing the steak is a great convenience because that’s one less kitchen utensil you will need.😊

The chimichurri sauce was beyond phenomenal. In addition to the steak, I also smothered it in the side dishes.

Lily’s Chicken:
The chicken had a variety of toppings which included goat cheese, spinach and artichokes. It was undoubtedly one of my favorite plates.

It was a perfect dining experience at a seafood restaurant and we didn’t even order seafood entrées!

“I’m not sure I can explain the delight I had dining here but I’ll do my best.

It was an absolute joy being able to eat what chef Micheal cooked up for us. Walking In, the establishment is actually in a good hall with other restaurants so you’ll want to head to the back left most stall. Chef Micheal was happy to explain his menu, dole out recommendations, and listen to preferences with food which is a level of service you don’t see honestly almost anywhere these days. We took a seat and waited a just a bit and the food was brought out. Per Micheal’s recommendation and it being our intro to Ghanaian food, we got Jollof rice with chicken, Egusi, peanut butter soup with chicken and fufu, an extra side of plantains and a ginger juice.

The ginger juice (coming from someone who lives a strong ginger juice) was lovely. Very punchy, fresh, and hits you right in the back of the throat. Jollof rice with chicken was excellent. The chicken fell off the bone which was great. It was moist and a little bite of rice, chicken, and plantain all mixed together was perfectly balanced. Egusi was also great, the greens were tender and the meat was a nice textural contrast to the greens. Personally I liked the peanut butter soup and fufu the best. The texture of the fufu was light and springy and perfect which was amazing paired with the soup and chicken.

I truly did not have a disappointing bite here and I am happy to recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good meal. It was a treat to visit and I am looking foreword to my next visit.“
