“We stayed at the hotel for one night since we had a dinner party across the street on Saturday. It was just a nice, calm place to have breakfast since there wasn't much open right there on Sunday morning. The staff was very friendly. I had scrambled eggs with applewood smoked bacon, potatoes and toast, and my husband had the breakfast burrito, which came with fresh fruit.“

“We went for brunch over the weekend. We did not have to wait for too long. The place is really nice and cozy. The service was great.

Everything we ordered was very good. Their options are limited but they change the menu every now and then. My only comment is that the portions are small. Not gourmet-restaurant small but smaller than I expected based on price and other Italian restaurants I have been to.“

“My favorite place in Hoboken! The owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and every delicious dish is made with love. Great coffee, omelettes and breakfast sandwiches! Cozy ambiance, good music and cool local artwork on the walls. Definitely give this place a try!“

“My wife & I went to Sonoma Bistro because the restaurant we were originally going to was closed. Lucky for us! This place was amazing. A little hard to hear each other talk, but not overly concerning. Erick, our server, was excellent. Very friendly and courteous. My wife ordered the Vegetarian Burrito Bowl and loved it. I ordered the stuffed chicken. That was one of the best dishes I have had in a very long time. I am so glad we wound up at this place. Also, if you like fruity cocktails, I highly recommend the Tiki Temptation. We will probably be going back within a few days just to get the exact same dishes. If you haven't been here, give this place a shot. You won't regret it.“

So I walked just a few blocks away looking for another place and happened to see Mila's neon sign and the quaint, familiar yellow and red bistro exterior. I took a quick look at the menu and they happened to have salmon and mashed potatoes which is just what I was in the mood for that night! Inside, the restaurant is cozy with a romantic, candlelit atmosphere, and a European café vibe. I quickly fell into conversation with the server/host, Agatha, and when we discovered we had a shared Hungarian heritage, the place felt like home to me! My salmon came perfectly cooked and the dish was a good-sized portion so I was pleased. The only improvement I would suggest is that they expand their dessert selection as there are only 2 items to choose from.
