It’s a beautiful, charming restaurant, with walls lined with a colorful collection of children’s books that give the space so much character. “Incredible dining experience. I’m not one to leave reviews but I had to after my experience at the Bistrot. This was a truly unique meal in a city oversaturated with flavorless, trendy, Johnny-come-lately’s. The staff is friendly — not fake — friendly. They are knowledgeable and when it comes to wine pairings they want you to actually enjoy what you’re drinking, not just sell you the most expensive bottle. The food is out of this world and worth it with flavors carefully put together that impress even the most jaded of New Yorkers. I was pleasantly surprised, not because of any previous knowledge of the restaurant but because for the first time in years I truly enjoyed going out to dinner.“

“Ella Funt is a delight! Cool vibe from the moment you walk in — excellent mood lighting and beautiful art across the walls. A lot of it is a bit risque, but I loved it. And the bathroom on the left is painted entirely in gold, which is so funny and so fitting.

Cocktails are spot on. The Lower Manhattan is a solid non-ABV choice, and the Lemon Martini does the trick if you're in the mood for a gin martini — strong but not too hard. Wine by the glass is well-priced for NYC. Food-wise, it was good but not great. We had the tuna crudo, steak tartare, tomato salad, trout with celery root puree, and the steak au poivre. The tuna crudo was a great start, but the meal kind of plateaued from there. The steak au poivre was just too saucy and peppery — I like au poivre, but this was too much. Overall a decent experience with good value, coming in under $100 per person with tip. Just don't come primarily for the food.“

“10/10 for Dudley's, food was amazing, we had the whipped ricotta and calamari to start and then shared the cheese burger, it was all delicious and a perfect amount of food for two ladies. The servers were attentive. Bar staff was great and cocktails are good. The tables are close to each other but that's to be expected. There is one restroom for men and women but there was no wait and the restaurant was full. Great experience, would go again“

“This restaurant is very authentic, classical french food done well with great ingredients. Our Dover Sole was cooked perfectly and very fresh, the frog legs were moist with a silky texture. It is not our first visit and will not be our last for sure.“

“This was a ‘cross your fingers & hope the reviews are legit’ reservation choice because of its location for everyone to get there and home easily from the day’s activities. AND because I needed to believe in their happy hour oysters being good. They weren’t just good…they were grand, glorious, slurpy, briny bites of joy! We devoured them. Drinks were an excellent foil to them for us too. Dinner orders delivered even more plate passing, fork stabbing expressions of delight. Steak was perfectly cooked per the order, as was the salmon. The fresh pasta was tender yet toothsome and melted in your mouth. The ragu on top was well seasoned and full of lamb. Everyone was quite full and the dessert offerings were too wonderful sounding to pass up.. and wonderful they were! Flourless chocolate cake that was rich enough to buy its own home in Manhattan and the fruited cake with a pile of whipped cream made us wonder if we could buy the whole thing and have some again in the morning with coffee. Mila’s delivered on all fronts and we were ecstatic. Go.. especially when you can enjoy happy hour…go even if you can’t do happy hour, you’ll be glad you did.“
