“First of all, without even mentioning the delicious baked goods, Justin & his wife Aastha are so sweet & amazing. Every conversation I’ve had with them could go on forever. Aastha is always so willing to chat & Justin is always down to discuss my current home baking projects.

I’ve been going once every week or every other week for over a year now & felt the need to finally write a review (I don’t review much on here!). Today, I walked into the shop looking for my coveted Almond Croissant (amazing) and there were none to be had—Justin hadn’t made them today because the plain & chocolate were selling well enough to not make any. This man, so wonderful, offered to make me an Almond Croissant. I felt bad, but he insisted & I came back in an hour & an half and he had it waiting for me. Now, THAT is truly caring about your customers. It was just what I needed after a rough week.

Some of my favorite baked goods from the Bakeshop are (obviously) the Almond Croissant, the Country Loaf & Personal Loaf (same dough, different sizes), the Chocolate Chip Cookie (my boyfriend’s favorite) & the Cheddar & Chive Danish.
Notable mention: I tried the Pesto (homemade with walnuts) & Parmesan Babka today for the first time & oh my gosh, so good. Savory with a subtle hint of sweet. I’ve never had a savory babka & I’d been eyeing it up the past few weeks and boy am I glad I made the purchase.

The vibe inside is cozy & rustic. Warmth radiates from the oven(s) & also the decor. Books for children, window seats to people watch, and a big booth to house a small group of people.

All in all, come for the pastries & keep coming back for the customer service.“

I literally cried when I saw the cake it was so beautiful ❤️ The staff are all amazing and so nice to work with. My other daughter's baby shower is in three weeks and we already have our order placed! It's rare to have such exceptional service on top of exceptional expertise. “I've gone here a few times not just because their items are DELICIOUS... but because of their mission. They recently added a whole GLUTEN FREE kitchen so I ran over when it opened one day last week to grab GF Valentine's Day cupcakes for my daughter who has celiac. THEY WERE AMAZING. If you haven't checked them out...or have and don't know their story... take a moment to be invested in something local and well worth your attention. THEY EVEN DO CUSTOM ORDERS...cookie platters for a work event etc. ( am I kind of glad they aren't located closer to my home in Warrington... why yes yes I am... because I have no self control and would be there for snacks... daily... don't judge me 🤪)“

“I have only compliments for the cookies at Crumbl. The large size, the fabulous and always changing selection of cookies - each more delicious than the last. A 4-pack will provide a very satisfying dessert for 4 (or more) people. The staff at Newtown is very friendly and personable; the store is immaculate, the service is quick. “I recently purchased cream filled donuts, cherry crumb, pie, and apple caramel walnut pie. Everything and I mean everything is delicious.! The cherry pie reminds me of my mom’s homemade. I thoroughly enjoyed the cream donuts. It’s my favorite donut from when I was a child. Many bakeries have closed over the years so it’s hard to find one that meets my expectations. Riehl’s Bakery has done that. Also compliments to the young man that waited on me. He was friendly, helpful and had manners. Thank you. I’ll be back.“

“Annie B’s is my dad’s favorite source for sweets, particularly the apple crumb pie. For his birthday on Saturday, we got 95 mini pie’s and they were the hit of the party! Not one left over! Gonna have to head to the Ferry Market on Friday to pick him up a six pack cause I don’t think he got one at his party!!! Highly recommend!!“
