OMG, there was just the right amount of chewiness that screamed freshly made and not doughy like those made from pre-packaged frozen dough. It has been decades since I have eaten a bagel that took me back to my days in Greenwich Village to the Potbelly Bagel Cafe on Christopher St. NYC. It wasn’t just the bagels and cream cheese spread, it was also the quick friendly service. “There aren't a lot of places to eat along the Delaware River outside of super expensive places in New Hope. Lumberville General Store is one of my favorites. Generous portions, very good food, and the staff is willing to be flexible for those with dietary concerns. The building is historic and you can eat inside or outside. Love taking a walk across the Lumberville (walking) Bridge to New Jersey.“

“This is one of two breakfast spots where I enjoy the shrimp and grits. It's very delicious and filling! I get bacon to add to the grits because everything is better with bacon. The latte was also hot for almost my whole meal; everywhere else it's cold after five minutes. I'm not sure how they're doing that, but I hope they keep doing it! All the employees are polite as well. I come from another state to eat here because I love the food and the service is great.“
