“This coffee shop is an absolute gem! The coffee is truly incredible — their espresso is exceptional, and the iced Americano is easily the best I’ve ever had. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of what they’re serving.
What really made our experience stand out, though, are the people that own it and work there. They were unbelievably friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We had friends visiting from Hawaii, and even though we arrived after they were already closed, they went above and beyond to accommodate us. That kind of kindness and hospitality is something you don’t forget.

Between the outstanding coffee and the genuinely wonderful people behind the counter, this place is everything you want in a local coffee shop. If you’re a coffee lover, do yourself a favor and stop in — you won’t be disappointed. Highly, highly recommend!“

“Pulled into Milk Crate Coffee off Route 70 in Lakewood the other morning to knock out some work and grab a quick fix. From the outside, the building has a funny setup that looks like an old hotel converted into a business park, with the shop taking over what probably used to be the main lobby and dining hall.

Inside, though, the vibe is totally unique. They have retro light fixture setups, art on the walls, and cushioned curved benches near the front. They even have lightbulbs on the ceiling that spell out the word coffee in massive six foot letters over the main room, which I did not even spot until I looked up directly at the lights. Even the bathroom has a bright pink neon sign on the wall, so they definitely leaned into the quirky decor.

When it comes to the actual coffee, these guys know what they are doing. I love that you can pick your own single origin beans and have them make a custom pour over right then and there. I went with a Honduran light roast, and it hit the spot while I sat at a table with my laptop. The staff was knowledgeable, and happy to chat about the coffee options, if you find one of the employees that knows coffee very well.

To go with the brew, I grabbed a chocolate chip scone. Now, the coffee was pretty solid, but the scone was average at best. It had that boxed, reheated feel to it rather than fresh baked from scratch. That said, plenty of people around me were ordering hot meals that looked really good, so it seems like a popular local hangout for a full breakfast.

All in all, Milk Crate Coffee is a cool, comfortable spot to set up camp for an hour, enjoy a well made pour over, and take in the eccentric surroundings. I would definitely swing back by for the coffee alone.“

“Just stopped in for pictures with Santa, and of course a Cappuccino! This place is truly one of a kind boutique. The set up for the Christmas pictures was so festive. The coffees are delicious and there are so many great items in the store. If you are looking for a gift and don’t know what you are looking for, this is the place to go!“

“We have gone here every weekend ever since we found out about this place! I wish they opened earlier than 11 am :( - Their coffee (specifically lattes) are out of this world. Before, LaVazza had my favorite lattes, but now CB does! Not only that, but $4-5 for an amazing good sized-coffee? I have probably had 15 by now and I have never had a bad one. I've tried most of their specialty candy bar lattes but the Jack Frost is my favorite - Service is outstanding. I've been served by multiple employees and so far they've all been extremely nice and helpful. Both dine-in and take-out. They are also very fast - Food is also extremely good, but, in my opinion a bit too expensive for what it is. However, the size is decent and it tastes very high quality. 15% lower price would be better. The chicken parm sandwich and caesar salad are my favorites and one of the best I've ever had (longhorn beats their caesar). Food has not disappointed so far - Environment is also nice. Clean area, clean bathrooms, and bonus that it's not always jam packed so it's quite peaceful Food I have tried and enjoyed: quesadilla, grilled chicken nachos, fries, caesar salad, classic pizzette, cheeseburger, sicily stuffed chicken wrap, chicken brushette wrap, chicken broccoli cheddar wrap, chicken cordon bleu wrap. Their chicken is also fantastic“

“We were invited to the friends and family breakfast the day before opening. We were all absolutely floored by this place and have already made a new tradition to come every sunday! The wait staff and INCREDIBLE, they are so sweet and so speedy! They were so considerate, turned the fire place off for us, and talked with our kids. The restaurant is clean, calm, almost beachy feeling. The most important...the food was absolutely amazing AND at an incredible price. The portions are large and VERY affordable, while looking and tasting like high end breakfast. This place makes you feel rich, and will thankfully not give your bank account the bill.“

The employees were SO amazing and helpful, they all ran over with ice, water, wet paper towels and one of the employees even offered her a spoon of honey to get her blood sugar up. I usually finish work between 6:00 and 6:30 PM, and since most Dunkin’ locations are already closed or getting ready to close around that time, I usually don’t order a sandwich for myself.

But the woman working here was absolutely wonderful—so kind, friendly, and patient. She made my favorite meal for me about 20 minutes before closing, and she was smiling the whole time and even offered to get me anything else I needed. ❤

“Waffles and Iced Chai are delicious! Especially the OB. But it’s a shame that you close so early. I can recall MANY times wanting to stop by and get some waffles but yall are always closed!!. Please change your hours to atleast 2 or 3. It would promote a lot of more customers!“

“When you get iced coffee they offer regular ice or a coffee ball. It’s a ball of frozen coffee so it doesn’t water down your drink as it melts. It was good. I also had a pumpkin muffin. It would be nice if there was a mocha on the menu though.“

“Dunkin' at 1039 NJ-88 in Point Pleasant is my morning ritual and afternoon pick-me-up all in one! The coffee is always hot and brewed just right—love their iced lattes with that perfect caramel swirl on busy shore days. Donuts are fresh daily, especially the glazed ones that melt in your mouth, and the breakfast sandwiches hit the spot with crispy bacon and fluffy eggs. Staff is super speedy and smiling, even during the commute rush, and the drive-thru is a breeze. Clean spot with plenty of seating for a quick break. Can't start the day without it!“

“For how insanely busy this location is they are very quick! Honestly expected a 15-20 minute wait and waited maybe 4 minutes. Everything was made well and correct. Inside was very busy and most chairs were taken but still quiet and clean inside. Also happy this location has the Valentine's day strawberry drinks as most locations seem to not carry it.“

“A little confusing to locate; the sign for Black Anchor is on the wall of the stall for Crepes & More. Even when mapping it and standing practically in front of it, we had difficulty finding this. Being avid coffee drinkers, we came to this boardwalk ONLY for this coffee house, which wasn't a house at all, just a stall. There's no seating. I'm not sure if this was formerly just a coffeehouse and they've changed directions with their business? The coffee was good.“

“We literally pass 2 other Dunkin’ Donuts to come to this one. The parking/drive through is tight and tough if it’s busy but if you get there early enough, they have really awesome donuts. My kids are obsessed with them and I have never seen another location make donuts like these. I only wish they would make more of these because they sell out very quickly!“
