“First time going to A&A, and I ordered the classic. The best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The bread was so fresh, and soft. Had the option for fresh mozzarella cheese, and it was a great choice. It was made about an hour before my sandwich, and it was so good! The staff is amazing, so friendly, and took great care in making our food. Had to get some biscotti for the ride home. Highly recommend!!“

“Oh man… where to start. The service was phenomenal, great recommendations, great atmosphere, the owner, Ms. Dana greeted us with a smile, Nikki the manager was great to deal with. Now the food… I had the special, “The Gobbler” and it was unbelievably tasty. The crunch from the toasted bread, the flavors all together were a symphony on my taste palette. My gf got the “Toni Ann” and she couldn’t talk while we were eating together because she wouldn’t stop stuffing her face. After she said the chicken cutlet was cooked perfect, mozzarella was fresh, peppers were exquisite. Overall experience was just mind-blowing. I’d recommend Ferraro’s to any person, local or travelers, you NEED to stop and eat here.“

The owners are right there, hands-on, making so much of the food themselves—from the sauces to the meats—and you can taste the difference. “I had such a great experience here this morning. I came in with my daughter to order breakfast and the minute we walked in, the woman spoke to us and even asked us how we were doing. I was having a bad day until I came here and they made us feel so welcomed. We even laughed together and joked aboit about how I wanted provolone cheese on a hot sandwich and she said “eww provolone on a hot sandwich, are you sure?” Lol we laughed and I am so glad that I got a different cheese because it was better.😅 everyone here so sweet and friendly. “Working at a house in the area and this place was 8 minutes from the jobsite. It's a bit expensive but saves you from running down the mountain so you're paying for convenience. Tried the taylor ham, egg and cheese. It was prepared well and the roll was super soft. Was it New Jerseys best? Definitely not, but overall it was decent. Co-worker got a sandwich off the board, believe it was the Susie. Once again, not blowing your socks off, but still decent. Definitely at the top end of deli pricing but an ok spot to grab a bite. Service was slow but we didn't call in and it seemed like they were a bit busy. Staff was polite.“

“I grew up in the area and knew Otto when I was a child. I later knew his son Elmud. This is an old style deli where they used to slice cold cuts to order. Their Peppy Potatoe salad and coleslaw is the best on planet earth. There always used to be a big jar of jawbreakers and fireballs at the cash register. The smell of the pickle barrel and deli meats was classic and so good’“

The person who served me was kind & friendly. I had the picadillo with white rice, sweet plantains, a fried yuca fritter, & a side of beans. It all was very tasty, with the exception of the fritter. My only qualm was the pricing for what I ordered. It came to $29, including 2 bags of cheese doodles.Would I go back... Yes. Everything looked vibrant & fresh... I wanted to try EVERYTHING.“

My bf has been coming here for years and swears by this deli as one of the best around.This mom and pop deli is not much to look at from the outside.They have free parking out front with several spots they share with another business.Once inside you can see why they call this place The Parsippany Deli/ Emerald Gifts aka The Irish Deli.As soon as you walk in the front door, they have a glass counter that displays beautiful China from Ireland. They sell teas, marmalade, sausages, bacon, black and white pudding, Irish candies, also Brennan's bread.During the month of March they make and sell homemade Irish Soda Bread.As you make your way to the front counter you will meet owner Eddie, and Avril. They were both very friendly and told me about their business. Posted on the counter is their sandwich and salad menus.The Parsippany deli/Emerald gifts has been in business for 50 years, now I know why. Their prices are reasonable, and everything is homemade. They also do catering.They roast all their own meats like Roast Beef, Turkey Breast, and Baked Virginia Ham. I highly suggest getting a half of a sub. It’s as big as most whole subs.This place doesn’t skimp on their meats, just the opposite.When I got home and opened up my sub I was pleasantly surprised, and couldn’t believe how much meat was on it. It was probably one of the best Italian subs I’ve ever had and I’ve been all over for subs.I ordered their Italian Sub - Ham, Salami, Capocollo they call it Hot Ham, and Cheese. I got mine with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, oil and vinegar. It was really delicious. I wound up eating a half of a half and saved the rest for later.My bf ordered their Roast Beef n American Cheese Sub. The Roast Beef was cooked perfectly rare and piled on the sandwich with lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar. He enjoyed it so much he ate the entire thing.I also ordered 2 of their homemade salads. Macaroni and Potato Salad. The macaroni was my favorite. It was rich and creamy.I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed

“Today I had a most delicious perfectly made submarine sandwich. I always said that a sub is only as good as the bread it’s made with. Like all construction projects the foundation has to be built well or the structure will crumble. Sparo’s bread was excellent and it only gets better Sparo’s has a variety of delicious fresh bread to choose from. I like when a place gives you choices right down to the smallest details. The meats and cheeses were high quality and sliced exactly the way I like it the produce and evoo & vinegar was outstanding. The construction of the sandwich was neat and put together with care. Eating this sub was a wonderful experience. I suspect I will be there often.“
