“wow, the best tacos anywhere in monmouth county! they were so full, the berria was delicious, and the fish taco was fresh local fluke, so good, almost a whole filet or more was in the 3 soft tacos, so good. also enjoyed the guac and chips platter that came with a tomatoe salsa and a mango salsa, so good. nice beer and wine selection. live music was great. sat inside due to weather. next time will try the outside bar.“

“Fantastic delicious food and a great boardwalk location too! There are shaded picnic tables right off the boardwalk for convenient dining. The food was prepared and ready in a short time, even on a busy weekend which was impressive. I highly recommend “

“Great food, everything is fresh and homemade, staff is super friendly, a great place to order from or just grab on the go. And they have a great Coke I never had before, not the same Mexican coke we buy in store, really good if you like coke from your childhood (back in the 70's, lol).“

“Holy moly! Everything was so delicious. Its family run and all homemade. An absolute rare gem to find nowadays. We got the al pastor tacos and asada quesadilla. Highly recommend trying their juices and horchata as well. We didnt think it could get any better and then we got to talking to the staff. All so very friendly and genuine. Will definitely be stopping by next time we're visiting belmar!“

“We ordered catering for our son’s graduation party yesterday. It was perfection. Everything was delicious, exactly as ordered, well organized and ready to be served/put in sternos to keep warm. I had been searching for good chorizo for a while now, and it's perfect here. I do not like cilantro or onion, so I opt for cheese on my tacos. They offer oaxaca cheese for them! So yummy! We've also had Al Pastor Tacos and Chorizo Enchiladas. The pricing is super reasonable for all entrées. Extremely big menu, too! The restaurant is quick service with limited seating, but it's very clean and comfy. The service has always been nice as well. My partner and I could not be happier with North of the Border. We will happily return again and again!!!“

We got the Oaxaca Platter, Molcajete, and extra tortillas, and honestly—everything was amazing. The platter was really good, full of flavor, and the tortillas were fresh, which made a huge difference. You can tell they care about quality.

On top of that, the service was great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish.

“Always fresh always tasty, everything I’ve ever gotten from them is a 10/10. The quality is always great but the quantity is hit or miss especially with the nachos. Maybe it depends on who’s making them that day. Sometimes its a nice big portion fills the container and sometimes it’s just like they threw some chips in the box slapped on a couple topping and you get half of a container while someone with the same has a full box. 5/10 for that. Prices are reasonable.“

“Salad was great, however it had a lot of black beans ~ more than ever in previous orders. The beef Krunch wrap was tasty. The downside was the grease leaked through the bag on the 10 minute drive. The staff present on our visit was attentive and professional.“
