“I went there today for the first time, and let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint. I got the medium pan of original banana pudding, took one bite, and finished it all instantly. I couldn’t stop it was soo good! The coconut macaroon was great too very moist and the perfect amount of coconut. Haven’t had the peach cobbler yet but I’m sure it won’t disappoint. “I make a point of visiting Funny Face bakery on every trip to New York, because they have the very best chocolate chip cookies in NYC or anywhere for that matter! Their gooey chocolate chip cookies are huge and packed full of chocolate—can’t be beat, especially warm out of the oven. Their decorated sugar cookies are so cool and clever and also make great gifts (along with a few gooey cookies of course). And it’s such a fun and friendly atmosphere—a must-visit when in NYC!“

I tried to tell the waited but he wouldn't give me the time of day and the last thing for 5 of us he added 15% to the bill clearly marked tip. with the space empty for me to fill in more. “I need to say that Renee and Carrie are amazing! Very amazing service, being able to be answered in French at the boutique was amazing! I drove twice in 2 days to grab cupcakes and cookies… I cannot say what’s my favourite out of the cupcake, the brownies, the cookies etc because everything was decadent and not too sweet. You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! If you like some fluffy, moist, creamy cupcake this is your place… While planning my wedding, I’ve compared a few bakery and non are as good as this one… Thank you for the amazing experience and taste!“

Stumbled upon Buttercup Bake Shop and they were so awesome! Totally worked with me and delivered the cupcakes with NO hassle. “This is a popular bakery store in Chinatown that has lots of bakery and confectionery items. They also sell few cooked dishes like steamed broccoli, pepper streak, chicken, tofu that are sold with white rice. They have bubble teas as well, but it’s powder based. We bought few of their bread items and egg tars.

The store looks pretty old. The menus are handwritten on paper, taped on the walls. There’s one table in the corner for guests to sit, but full of dirt. Despite the issues with the appearance, their food quality and taste keeps bringing lots of customers.“

Wide selection, all freshly backed, wonderfully friendly staff and the cherry on top is the actually fair prices in a time when almost nothing feels like that. They offer freshly made breads (including challah and Italian style breads) cakes, cookies and so on. This is a walk in bakery not a place to sit.“

Steph did a fantastic job, the cake was delicious and we ordered cupcakes in another flavor to accompany the cake. I had sent her some ideas and photos and she went above and beyond. “I ordered a Palermo’s Bakery wedding Cake for my New Jersey December 2023 wedding and tasting that cake with my husband was truly a slice of heaven! Not only did our cake look beautiful but it tasted delicious which I was honestly not expecting! I thought we3dding cakes just all looked beautiful, I didn’t realize they could taste this good! We had a vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and CANOLLI cream filling which was AMAZING! I honestly still crave it to this day! We added our own little doggie figurines to our cake, and it looked perfect when displayed at our wedding! We skipped the cake tasting because we ran out of time but honestly, we didn’t need it! “Delicious cake. I saw Gencarelli’s on channel 12 News and I knew I had to give them a try. I was not disappointed. I went home with the crumb cake with Bavarian cream in the middle. I traveled almost 40 minutes from the Shore to Wayne and I will be going back soon.“
