“Croissant & pain au chocolat : Best in New York. But careful, usually available around 9:45/10am. I didn’t go for 3 months and I regret that. Will go more often for sure.
I hesitated to put a bad review so that this place does get more famous, but it’s too good for doing it such a prejudice.“

lovely refuge from a rainy day.
i was biking along when heavens opens. searching for the nearest interior my clunky bike and i stumbled our way into this blue sanctuary. we were graciously welcomed in and patiently waited. Baristas were friendly but not overbearing and kind to each customer that followed after me.

The interior is endearing. The couch is super comfortable and the book selection is great! I had forgotten a book at home so i was especially grateful for this. I especially love that there is a book nook for a child too!

“I visited Yummy Tummy bakery for the first time today, with five other friends of mine to support a Black-owned business during Black History Month. The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. The sweets themselves were absolutely delicious. The fruity pebble cupcake particularly was the perfect amount of sweet, moist, and airy. If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d definitely recommend you stop by!“

“What a neighborhood gem!! Walked in on a Sunday morning and had a delightful conversation with Chef Daniel. Ordered a delicious egg sandwich on a flaky, buttery, sinfully good biscuit, plus a few other items including the dark chocolate vegan sorbet, a chocolate chip cookie and blueberry citrus donut. Do not sleep on the seasonal donuts ... the blueberry was incredible! And do not let the vegan in the sorbet fool you - as a chocolate lover, it was rich, decadent, everything you want and more.

I've lived in the neighborhood for a decade and didn't realize Sugar Butter Chocolate offered retail service. I wish I had known a lot sooner because everything was so, so good. Highly recommend stopping in for a sweet treat, wonderful, friendly service and making this your go-to bakery in Crown Heights!“

“SO underrated, i love this spot! they always have fresh warm bread, so far i've had their baguette, italian loaf, and prosciutto loaf and they've been delicious- perfectly soft inside & crunchy outside & warm. I ate the entire prosciutto loaf as if it was a sandwich on my walk home“

“I’ve been getting pies from Ladybird Bakery since even before they moved to this location, and they’ve been consistently great over the years. Their pies are especially good — fresh, rich, and with that genuinely homemade bakery quality that’s getting harder to find in Brooklyn.

It’s also nice to see a longtime neighborhood bakery continue doing what it does best while growing into a new space. Whenever I need a pie for a holiday, gathering, or just because, Ladybird is one of the first places that comes to mind. Definitely a neighborhood staple worth supporting.“

“OMG The cupcakes are to die for. The frosting is amazing as it is not too sweet. The cupcakes are a perfect size, moist and have the delicious fresh homemade taste. I had the vegan chocolate cupcake and it had a delicious chocolate taste and was not that sweet at all. My daughter said it was the best cupcake she had. It was worth every penny and I can not recommend BKLYN Cake Studio enough for its delicious cupcakes. I definitely want to try the chocolate chip cookies with sea salt next.“

“Bread is always soooo yummy and flavorful! Favorite bread is the white concha and one that looks like a croissant but taste like hojaldra orangey flavor I loveeeee. Also the rosca the best ever. They’re not stingy with the sweet sugary part of the rosca there’s enough for all for the amount they add. The place is semi empty perfect for taking ur time in choosing ur bread. Oh and the peach 3leches slices are good.“

All the products that made me a fan in the first place are here as well—the incredible challahs, rugelach, cakes, kokosh, pastries, sandwiches, and everything else they are known for. The quality and freshness remain consistently top-tier.

What really stands out about this location is the space. The store is much larger, more spacious, and easier to shop in, even during busy hours. There is more room to browse, more room to wait comfortably, and the overall shopping experience feels less crowded.

The bakery displays are beautiful, the shelves are well stocked, and the sandwich department is just as impressive as the original location. The staff is friendly, efficient, and keeps things moving smoothly.

Maintaining quality across multiple locations is not easy, but they have clearly figured it out. This location offers the same amazing products and service, with the added benefit of a much larger and more comfortable shopping environment.

“First off. Im a native New Yorker. I visited on Saturday night, July 25th. I got an Oreo cheesecake which was good. Also a gluten-free peanut butter banana cupcake. Also good.

However, probably some of the worst customer service I’ve had in the area. I don’t know the name of the person who served us, but she was in conversation with two other servers the entire time. I asked a question. Was given a quick dismissive answer. Didn’t look at us once. She seemed like she didn’t wanna deal with us. Gave us our desert and turned away rudely. I will definitely not return to this place.“
