“Came in early a.m., walked in to a bright and energetic atmosphere. Greeted by the cashier I gave my order. 1 Coffee and 6 donuts, not only was the price right; the donuts were phenomenal. I was unsure of what to get but they were patient with me lol I am a bit of a coffee snob and this was one of the best I’ve had. I’m always weary going into new territory (my own bs) but this was a delightful encounter for sure. I will absolutely be returning (with my children) as they could not get enough of the donuts. My new favorite spot without a doubt!!“

“Lesslye Hernandez isnt telling the truth. The girl that works there is actually is very nice and really does her job well. she has a great vibe snd really knows how to take care of her customers. Lesslye Hernaandez is a liar and clearly dont got nothing to do with her life other than ruin others. dont listen to this brainless woman?. she was just impatient and clearly didnt understand that they just wanted to fix her order and didnt want to disappoint her but she was too impatient and rude. This place has great customer service and has great workers. Def recommend this place. Especially the girl that works there she is very nice and will make sure to take care of you. Some people just think they own the world or something. Once again don’t listen to this women. Customer service is great and everyone there does their job correctly!!!!“

“Marie is the absolute best. I asked her to make a cake for my birthday and my guests and myself have been talking about it ever since! I called Marie to tell her my vision and she helped me through it and made it even better, she's so kind and so open to collaborating. And not only that the flavor was INSANELY DELICIOUS. I am normally not a big cake person but it was the perfect balance of moist and creamy, the way I told her how I wanted it to be. I asked for vanilla frosting with chocolate inside, and a layer of praline cream. Highly recommend ordering from Marie for any occasion. I definitely will be doing that again soon.“

“Croissant & pain au chocolat : Best in New York. But careful, usually available around 9:45/10am. I didn’t go for 3 months and I regret that. Will go more often for sure.
I hesitated to put a bad review so that this place does get more famous, but it’s too good for doing it such a prejudice.“

“I need to say that Renee and Carrie are amazing! Very amazing service, being able to be answered in French at the boutique was amazing! I drove twice in 2 days to grab cupcakes and cookies… I cannot say what’s my favourite out of the cupcake, the brownies, the cookies etc because everything was decadent and not too sweet. You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! If you like some fluffy, moist, creamy cupcake this is your place… While planning my wedding, I’ve compared a few bakery and non are as good as this one… Thank you for the amazing experience and taste!“

Stumbled upon Buttercup Bake Shop and they were so awesome! Totally worked with me and delivered the cupcakes with NO hassle. The only downside for me was that the mini cheesecakes / little cupcakes felt overpriced for their size. Either they should be a bit bigger or priced more reasonably for what you get.“

“Don’t be fooled by the smallness of the place. The breakfast sandwiches are some of the tastiest I’ve ever had. I was looking to order a cake for a birthday, and I was impressed by their photos on Instagram as well as the flavor of the slices they had for sale (one of which I received as a gift). “Leidylicious bakery is the most whimsical little bakery that’s gives the most pleasant experience ever. I ordered my daughter’s 8th birthday cake ( a Calico critters theme)from this bakery and the whole experience was very stress free. I love how they made it feels like I hired a personal baker. They communication and attention to every details exceeded my expectations for a small bakery. My daughter was very happy, not only with the design of the cake but also the taste. She is a very picky eater! Our cake was all chocolate with a chocolate ganache filling and you can just taste the richness and know that it is made with good ingredients. It was so moist and full of that whole good chocolate taste. I would recommend this bakery to anyone who is looking for that homemade, real good ingredients cake/desserts.“

“Simply magical! Hands down the best of Chinese pastries.
Pretty much everything worths trying, savory and sweet stuff! Especially the salted egg yolk bolo bun! Even the cha siu bun which I normally hate is good, many other places do it greasy and overly sweet, this place’s is great and you won’t taste any off putting pork taste. We thought we bought enough for breakfast tomorrow but basically finished everything after we got home.
They have limited seasonal stuff so make sure to check it out. Sometimes they close earlier than it’s listed here and many times the popular items are sold out way before they close. So make sure to get there before they’re gone.
Atmosphere wise, I mean it’s traditional Chinese place so don’t expect something Instagram selfies worthy but it definitely feels authentic.
The auntie working at the cashier is so welcoming, helpful, and attentive. Feels just like back home in China and nostalgic as I grew up eating these delicious pastries.“

“What a neighborhood gem!! Walked in on a Sunday morning and had a delightful conversation with Chef Daniel. Ordered a delicious egg sandwich on a flaky, buttery, sinfully good biscuit, plus a few other items including the dark chocolate vegan sorbet, a chocolate chip cookie and blueberry citrus donut. Do not sleep on the seasonal donuts ... the blueberry was incredible! And do not let the vegan in the sorbet fool you - as a chocolate lover, it was rich, decadent, everything you want and more.

I've lived in the neighborhood for a decade and didn't realize Sugar Butter Chocolate offered retail service. I wish I had known a lot sooner because everything was so, so good. They’re not stingy with the sweet sugary part of the rosca there’s enough for all for the amount they add. The place is semi empty perfect for taking ur time in choosing ur bread. Oh and the peach 3leches slices are good.“
