“We made reservations and got there early but went in anyway and got seated in about 10 minutes. The waitress was great and helpful. Our dinner was superb! Then the dj showed up. Wow great service , food and entertainment! We will be back with friends.

Kid-friendliness: Saw many kids enjoying themselves.

“Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“

“I order delivery and pickup from this place often. It’s a simple little diner with excellent food and service. And for manhattan I’d say the prices are pretty decent. Everyone is always so nice and gets my orders right every time. They also make homemade salsa, if you ask nicely they might serve you some.“

“Delicious food and very nice service from Rebecca. I had a party of 6, with some vegetarians, and someone who had to eat something gentle on the stomach. We sat at the bar and our server, Rebecca, was super nice, attentive, bilingual (which was helpful for our group), and gave great food recommendations.

I ordered the braised short rib 5/5 would order again in a heartbeat, especially for the price. Comes with brasato sauce a lemon vinaigrette, perfect for cutting the richness. Some of our party ordered veggie burgers, others ordered chicken noodle soup. I also ordered a mocha.

Definitely eat here if you’re in the area and in the mood for comfort food this winter!“

“Union Street Cafe is an old school diner with an amazingly affordable menu of solid choices. CASH ONLY. Pancakes, egg sandwiches, burgers, turkey clubs, tuna melts, coffee, pastries all make the menu. It's a small place, mostly 4 top tables. Would be difficult to accommodate groups larger than that unless you came off peak. Ambiance is very casual and a little retro. Service was understandably a little frantic on a busy Saturday and very friendly. Staff is bilingual (Spanish).CASH ONLY.“

And then a few times after that . It's the cutest little spot with amazing food. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts: the host made me feel welcomed. Even though they are very busy, everyone pay attention to your needs , always efficient and polite . delicious dishes: I enjoyed every single bite of the meal ! -Soup and pasta were so flavorful. -Best Buffalo wings I ever had -- so so crunchy outside, moist and tender inside AND BEST IF ALL , I am so grateful you put the sauce on the Side , so I can adjust the tangy and spicy taste depending on my preference -Cheeseburger grilled perfectly , so juicy and mouthwatering. -Waffle: mine was golden-brown in color, with a crispy outer texture and a soft interior. - grilled cheese sandwich : perfectly toasted slices stuffed with melting cheese ,It’s worth every single last crumb! and , extensive menu : breakfast, lunch and dinner menu , from comfort food to vegetarian options. “A real find in a heavily industrial stretch of Elizabeth. Grits are always an unexpected and welcome side dish option, at least up north and these come with wither cheese or butter. Hash was the perfect mix of crispy and soft. Good coffee also. Waitstaff is charmingly brisk. Anyone waiting near EWR should definitely head over.“

“Ok, Grant Plater u fukn idiot it's obvious u don't get out to eat much... So d*** f*** any diner in the fun word u go to u get a waffle that can be cut into 4 sections. As far as chicken n Waffles d*** fuk unless u specify fried chicken and waffles, u will get tenders as for the gravy stupid for ur chicken, ur supposed to use syrup with this plate. If you did get fried chicken the cost would go up, duhh let me guess u would b**** about that to. Unless u no how a dish is served u should not complain because u sound like a fukn d*** a** who doesn't have a clue about dining out.. you wud be the type to go to a classy astablishment and say wats all the forks and spoons for by one plate.. ask before u comment and make a a** out of urself“

“Generous amount of food. I ordered Turkey, which is one of the dishes I rate diners on. Compared to other diners, this is a bit above average. However, even with loads of gravy (they gave me a bowl full) and with a mild stuffing, I felt it was a little bland. Good for people on a low-salt diet? I needed to add a lot of pepper and some salt. I still would have liked a more savory taste. Nevertheless, the portion was big and the "side salad" was more like a mini salad entree. Take a look at the pictures. Wait staff was very nice. Lots of people there on a Sunday morning, so you may have to wait. Price is slightly high, but then everything is compared to a few years ago. BUT I'd rather pay more for this kind of quality. I will go back when I am in the area again.“

“I had a fantastic experience at this place. Diego provided excellent service and he made an excellent cappuccino. The food was delicious, and the smell in the restaurant was wonderful. It smelled of sweet pastries and cookies. My only complaint is that the AC wasn’t on, so I was pretty hot. Everything else was perfect though.“
