“We love Colonial Diner and have been going there for years. They have the best food and best staff, along with an amazing atmosphere. My three year old asks to go there for practically every meal and we are always greeted like family when we walk through the door. This is the best diner I’ve ever been to. Run -don’t walk- and get ANYTHING from the menu; you won’t regret it!“

I find the food usually doesn’t hit, since some places typically focus more on drinks, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The food was so thoughtfully made. I had the best BLT, small details in prep, like perfectly shredded lettuce and sliced tomato’s really can make or break a sandwich. My husband loved his burger and the fries were so crispy and good. Typical city prices, and the atmosphere makes you wanna stay awhile so it’s worth it to me. Beautiful during the day but next time im gonna come later in the day I can enjoy the deep rich atmosphere they carefully curated. So so beautiful.“

I usually come during lunchtime and have always had a great experience but I went in tonight for dinner for the first time, it was the most unnecessarily rude service I've ever experienced in my life/20 years in hospitality. Bar manager seems really unhappy, which seemed to make it unpleasant for everyone within earshot- guests and co-workers.“

“What a great little find. We were out and about near the Ballon Museum and found this gem. It is truly old school diner. There is limited seating (first come first served). There is some outside seating (limited). The menu is pretty extensive and something for everyone. The service was quick! recommend 100%“

“We came to New York for a few days and had an amazing Brunch at Old John’s Diner. The coffee (an important factor!) was amazing, and the food delicious! Also the decoration is very beautiful. “Wait staff was friendly and you were not pushed to finish dinner. We had the shrimp po' boy and the grilled ribeye open face steak sandwich. I asked for my French fries to be extra crispy and they were delicious. After driving for almost 5 hours, sitting in rush hour traffic and construction, this diner made our day and on a really great note.“

“Stopped by Tria Bakery Cafe Diner while waiting out a 2-hour wait at Golden Diner. We were starving and didn’t want to stand around in the cold, and this place ended up being the perfect move. It’s only about a 6-minute walk from Golden Diner, and we were able to sit down, stay warm, and enjoy good food and coffee while we waited. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and exactly what we needed. Definitely glad we came here.“

Unfortunately the jerk chicken fell short for me. It was very dry. I also ordered a margarita that was quite sour and unbalanced.

“We used to go to Park West quite often, but stopped when we were tired of having to check the bill carefully for overcharging. Happened again yesterday when we called in a pick up and 2 of the 3 items ordered were wrong and the wrong higher price was still charged. And, we didn't get two items we ordered, nor the coleslaw and pickle that was requested. Not happy at all“

I got the Reuben sandwich with fries, it was huge and had amazing flavor - the corned beef was tender, the cheese melty, rye bread was toasty, and the sauerkraut with Russian dressing made it perfect. Plus it was open face, a really unique touch, served with crunchy pickles, sauerkraut and yummy fries. A feast for sure! My family for sunny side eggs (perfectly cooked) with crispy bacon and pancakes. They were super happy, said it was delicious. The location is perfect for a meal near Newark airport. The service was great, food was served nice and hot, place was clean. And you get that cool New Jersey diner vibe with leather booths and cool bar seating. I definitely recommend Seaport Diner - we will be back!!“

“Ate here several times with a friend a few years ago and just walked by yesterday and was reminded. It is good for what it is: diner food. I always get the eggs and hashbrowns—no nonsense and good. I think it is better and I’m pretty sure it is more expensive than the more famous Washington Square Diner across 6th Ave.“

“This place is a diamond in the ruff … 10/10 service, the hot turkey with gravy was reminiscent of my mom’s homemade cooking in 1998.
The portion sizes are enough to feed a family of 6.

My husbands turkey club was made with real turkey, the service was impeccable!

Beyond reasonable in price for NYC and it closed off our night on a perfect note while we rested our feet and waited on our 80$ uber back home.. ;)

“Generous amount of food. I ordered Turkey, which is one of the dishes I rate diners on. Compared to other diners, this is a bit above average. However, even with loads of gravy (they gave me a bowl full) and with a mild stuffing, I felt it was a little bland. Good for people on a low-salt diet? I needed to add a lot of pepper and some salt. I still would have liked a more savory taste. Nevertheless, the portion was big and the "side salad" was more like a mini salad entree. Take a look at the pictures. Wait staff was very nice. Lots of people there on a Sunday morning, so you may have to wait. Price is slightly high, but then everything is compared to a few years ago. BUT I'd rather pay more for this kind of quality. I will go back when I am in the area again.“
