“I was there on Thursday the food was great! Only problem was I wasn't aware of the gratuity that was put on for six or more people. So we ended up spending much more money than we excepted“

“This was a popular place, lots of people waiting but we were seated in a timely manner considering. The restaurant has a lot more tables than it appears from the outside. Everything was delicious, from the Caesar Salad to the entrees of Duck and Steak to Chocolate and Orange Cake. I don't live in a area but highly recommend this place, it would be worth the trip.“

“Went for dinner. Food was very good. Pretty quick service. Out of season. Was a bit cold inside even though it was in the 60s outside and the front door was opened. The acoustics are bad. Kids screeching resonate through your ears and down your spine.
My dish was meant to have asparagus risotto, but it was white rice. 😣 Service was excellent.“

“Really enjoyed our ladies night dinner. General Taos cauliflower was crispy. My scallops on risotto were amazing- perfectly searded, risotto was perfection. And priced right. I love the cocktails and I also love sitting in the garden bar area.“

“We have been going to Black Eyed Susan's since their prior location across the street when it was BYOB and I can't believe it's actually gotten better in terms of menu and the cocktail menu is amazing too. With the addition of Marigold this summer they've reached the next level. We hope to rent it out next year for a private event. Could not recommend it enough if you're on Long Beach Island (or even if you have to drive the bridge)“

“RUN don’t walk to this unassuming but incredibly delicious gem of a restaurant. It is a no frills kinda place, prices are the same as other seafood restaurants on the island so you’re not saving money other than on the tip because it’s a order at the counter and sit down kinda spot- but the seafood is SO FRESH, perfectly cooked, and delicious. Our family had lobster rolls ( best we had on the island so far), the mussels in the garlic white wine sauce, the stuffed shrimp and the little neck clams. They ran out of the scallops in brown butter sauce but everyone there said that it’s a must have item, we will definitely get it next time! John the owner who is front of house is a little bit of a character but I found it amusing. 10/10 for food! I don’t have photos bc we devoured it all so quickly.“

“I love all your soups and chowders. Every year we buy a couple of quarts to bring home. This year, we added to our purchase a quart of the crab corn chowder. It was outstanding! I hope this becomes a permanent chowder going forward! Looking forward to next year!“

The food during cocktail hour was to die for and all of our guests raved about it. The weather wasn’t in our favor in the morning and at first we were going to do the ceremony under the tiki hut but were able to change to the sand an hour before. Dinner was also amazing and everything was delicious. The Shell made a dream come true and we can’t thank them enough.“

“Fair sized restaurant/bar. Three sided bar with really nice bar seats. A parallel dining room. Local oysters were really good. Has a big draft beer list. Brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday’s offers $10 mimosa or bloody Mary’s for the first one then they’re $2 after the first one. Brunch is from 11am to 230pm.“

“Just a seriously good meal in a very friendly and comfortable spot. The chowder is not to be missed and my usually very picky 4 year old (seriously, sometimes he rejects pizza) absolutely loved the chicken finger kids platter.

“Still the best clam chowder and you cannot tell me otherwise. The bread bowl is toasted perfectly. Good bands and entertainment. Staff is always nice, decent selection of beers and alcohol. Good food overall. Our staples are the chowder, potato skins, and wings but have had their sandwhiches which have been good as well.“

“My wife , grandson and myself went to the Grapevine tonight for the first time. Our waitress was Michelle and she couldn't have been any nicer ! Be ordered appetizers, wings , mozzarella sticks , etc. The food was delicious and Michelle checked on us multiple times and made our first time visit there extremely enjoyable !
