“We had to find a venue for my daughter’s graduation party on very short notice because of the weather, and Sahara’s couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food was fresh, flavorful, and everyone loved it. What really stood out was the outstanding service. Amar, Eyad, and the entire staff were attentive, professional, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. They made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!“

“For a $1000 meal I expect flawless service and unfortunately that was not the case. Drinks ordered during dinner arrived while eating desert. Two times they brought over the wrong drinks and one order they completely forgot.. Also when waiter brings over food he should know who ordered what and not have to ask again. Food was good but service needs improvement if those are the prices you will be charging.“

“I wanted to leave a review because every time I come here, I notice the same thing: the employees work incredibly hard.

The food is always great, but what stands out to me most is the staff. Every time I walk in, they’re constantly moving, helping customers, preparing food, handling orders, and keeping everything running. I’ve never once been made to feel rushed, ignored, or like I was a burden, even when it’s obvious they’re extremely busy.

Today, the lady helping us even offered our toddler a free baklava as a thank-you for being patient while we waited. That small gesture meant a lot and showed just how thoughtful and caring the staff are, even while juggling so many responsibilities.

As a customer, I genuinely don’t know how they do it. If I were in their position, I’d probably be frustrated and overwhelmed, but they continue to show patience, professionalism, and kindness.

I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, but from what I can see, this team deserves more support. For the amount of work being done and the volume of customers coming through, it seems like a very small staff carrying a very heavy workload. As both a customer and a human being, I don’t think that’s fair.

I hope management knows how valuable these employees are and how much they contribute to the success of this business. They deserve recognition, appreciation, and the help needed to make their jobs more manageable. The food keeps me coming back, but the people working here are a huge part of why I continue to support this place“

Lamb Adana kababs were very authentic and really tasty I will suggest it as a must have if you like Mediterranean food. “Kyma is the reason we drive 30 minutes for amazing authentic Greek cuisine. Our appetizer/small plate of smoked eggplant dip & lamb empanada with herb mint sauce was a wonderful start. Sea bass in tomato broth with potatoes & Aegean shrimp dish were perfectly prepared. We had to have the baklava with vanilla ice cream (no pic as we attacked it!). “We visited the New Brunswick, NJ location on March 11,2025 around 8:30pm and must say we are extremely disappointed with the service. Here’s our saga: we ordered chicken Kakab platter in person and asked the person behind the counter to put the olives, turnips and pickle on the side. It was shocking to hear that the guy told me that I have to pay extra. I told him again I am not asking for anything extra but just that I need my olives, pickand turnip which is on top to Be put in the side he reiterated and said that it will be an extra charge. The manager had put in a new policy in place. Is there any checks and balances in place to control this nonsense This is so bizarre….let me ask you this …. If I go to a burger joint and ask them for fries in a separate plate (again not extra) would they ask me for more money? What’s going on Mamouns? Not expecting from you guys…. Utter disgrace…. We have been your patrons since last 20 years ….. its makes us think twice if we really want to go to Mamouns again. This is totally unacceptable.“

It's dimly lit inside which made reading the menu a bit challenging. However, everything we did order made up for it! I highly recommend the Frittura di Calamari for an appetizer. The following dishes we ordered were spectacular! Rigatoni alla Vodka, Penne alla Grotta, Gnocchi Alessandra, Norwegian Salmon (special), Penne al Forno, Spaghetti alla Carbonara and the Pollo alla Francese! It is a BYOB establishment, luckily there is a wine and spirits store next door. My family will definitely be returning to this beautiful gem in the heart of Somerville!“

“We've enjoyed their lunches and their dinners. We love their salad- fresh tasty cucumbers, tomatoes and ? that makes it great. We like their lentil soup. We adore the special Noni Afghan (or Nan, a staple, long, oval flatbread with a chewy interior and crusty exterior). We like the choice of rice (my favorite is weird brown long rice with carrots and raisins) We have tried most of the meat choice- all are delicious. 3 very different sauces are fun - the white yogurt sauce makes everything tastes great. The service is always friendly, never rushed. We enjoy coming to Silk Road often.“
