“We went looking for a restaurant where the kids could play, and this was the best decision we could have made. We loved the place; our children could spend hours playing and wouldn't want to leave. The only thing that might help from a parent's perspective is a door for the play area, but if we return to Philadelphia and need a place to eat, we would definitely choose this spot again.“

“We went there Saturday for an early dinner. Great atmosphere, love that you have games available to play. Food was delicious our only complaint would be your fries, tasted fantastic but the minuscule size we were not a fan of! Very hard to consume with them being so tiny. I am not a beer drinker but my husband and son we fans!“

Mainstay Independent Brewing Company Brewery • $$
901 N Delaware Ave, Philadelphia - 7.63 miles

“If you’re heading to Northern Liberties with kids in tow (and still want a beer), Craft Hall/Mainstay Independent is a solid choice for lunch.

Craft Hall is a massive industrial space that houses Mainstay Independent Brewing Company and feels more like a sports bar than a traditional brewery. Parking in the small front lot is tight but there’s also street parking and a couple of garages just a few blocks away if you’re willing to loop once or twice.

Inside, the vibe is unapologetically industrial: exposed steel, high ceilings, big open room. It’s not warm and cozy or where you go for a quiet pint.

Our visit was a bit chaotic. There’s a large indoor playground (pirate ship) packed with dozens of kids running, climbing, and burning off energy while parents reclaim a sliver of sanity. It’s extremely kid-friendly, and that clearly drives the lunch crowd.

Adults get their own zone at the bar, which helps balance things out. The tables are spacious, the projectors and TVs are plentiful, and the whole setup is perfect for watching a game, hosting a happy hour, or gathering a big group.

Beer-wise, we found the lineup solid but mostly average, with the standout being the Winter Bock. The traditional German-style lager was very malt-forward, roasty and smooth.

Craft Hall isn’t an intimate date-night brewery. It’s loud, lively, and built for volume. But if you’re looking for a kid-friendly brewery experience in Northern Liberties where adults can still grab a solid pint? This place absolutely fills that niche.“

The Hotel ML Taverns • $$$
915 NJ-73, Mt Laurel - 2.08 miles

“With 50 Tesla Chargers on the lot.. I don't know how or why but this place is awesome if you need to charge up your Tesla. It's great that's it's just right off of the turnpike where you can jump right back on after charging. Someone was definitely using their brain when coming up with this plan.“
