“Huge fan, I’ve never had a bad sandwich at Johnny Hot’s, until today 8/30/24. I was supposed to have just pork roll on a steak roll with spicy mustard, no egg and no cheese. The pork roll is usually cut very thin with a nice braise on it. It had egg & cheese on it. The egg & cheese were warm the meat was cool, no grill color to it. By the time I took the egg & cheese off there was hardly any pork roll, very disappointed. It was “no change” Friday, so I gave my apprentice 15 dollars for a sandwich I couldn’t even eat.“

She approached me right away, took my drink order, and gave me a few minutes to look over the many choices they have to offer. I decided on the sausage links, pancakes, and sunny side up eggs. Now, typically in California, they bring you these skimpy sausages, but no, not here. These sausage links were like chorizo portions and were very delicious and full of flavor. The pancakes were buttery and fluffy, although I was only able to finish 2 of the stack of 4. And the eggs were cooked to perfection. One thing I dislike about breakfast joints is the lack of strawberry jelly. Although I like syrup, I tend to favor strawberry jelly more. The fact that they had a stack of strawberry and a stack of grape made this place that much better. Truthfully, 5 star rating is not enough. This place deserves more than they 5 allowed, I will definitely be in tomorrow to try their lunch. If I had found this gem the last time I was here on business, I probably would have been in every day for the entire 2 weeks.“

Went with my family and ordered a XL Pie, which the menu on the wall says “XL 18’ PIZZA 14.95”, I was wrung up on one register as $15.95, but when the waiter took my card, he charged me $26.00. When asked why so much he immediately said the price of the pizza was 19.95 and if I wanted, he could give me a menu. When I requested a menu, he then said he only has the old menu, still he didnt even give me that. When I asked why am i being charged $6 for 2 cans of coke, he then says the man (guessing the owner) told him to charge me for 3 cans (this is the same waiter that took our drinks order and brought us 2 cans). If you want to get swindled, go to this pizza joint. Trust me, I would much rather give my money to an honest family business… but this place just made me decide to stick with the big business conglomerates that are running little family owned places out of business. Sucks, but why steal from your customers? You take their money, break the trust and then you deal with the aftermath of it all. Another interesting fact: someone was coughing up a majestic storm in the kitchen, just pure unadulterated coughing and sneezing. Then theres this delivery guy just eating a slice of pizza at the entrance talking about women, as if there wasn’t a family trying to enjoy some time together. My wife felt uncomfortable, as she should have. Save your money. The flies and theft isn’t worth it. Sad, this was once a good place.“

I recommend the pork roll and cheese sandwich, fries and a Black Cow root beer float or the Black And White shake. Today I had a plain hot dog with yellow mustard and fries. Just Right!!! The burgers, cheesesteaks and chicken tenders, all good. The service was super fast and the food was just right. When the waiter came around to ask how it was I told her to look at the steak that doesn't look like medium she told her boss the boss said clearly it was not a medium steak and would cook another one for me. I said no I will eat this they did take it off the bill which I was pleased with but I do like my steaks medium still a little pink. Everything else was good. I wish they would still serve baked potatoes“
