Since moving from North Jersey to South Jersey several years ago, we have been trying to find a Chinese restaurant that knew how how make Chicken Chow Mein. Most make what I would call onion soup - it is all onions, with some carrots and very juicy. You NEVER put carrots in Chicken Chow Mein. The May Flower knows how make Chicken Chow Mein that tastes the way it should. Adding extra chicken puts this meal over the top!! We also like their Shrimp Lo Mein. We are anxious to venture further and try additional menu items. If you want Chinese food made the way it should be, this is the place for you. We had our food delivered and were very pleased with their own pleasant, efficient and quick delivery service. We will continue to order from them and may even come in to enjoy their excellent food.“

“We called for delivery and waited an hour and the driver still hadn’t showed. We called them and they said they were very busy and we would have to come pick it up. At first I was angry but then I got there and saw how busy they were. The lady was very nice and gave me 2 dollars back and a free 2 liter of Pepsi and was very apologetic. Food is great but sometimes you just need to be patient when they’re slammed. It’s a small restaurant.“

“Agreed! It's the only place to go when you want great Chinese! Everywhere around me (Washington Twp) is just different grades of "bad." Ingredients are high quality -- no gristle chicken/ or slimy chicken. Great sauces -- no generic brown sauce that they throw on every dish. Recommend Beef Chow fun, Shrimp lo mein, chicken and broccoli, pot stickers, any soup, etc. Fabulous. I wish they were closer!“

“I would like to share a bit of a positive thing that happened. I went to Classic Asia (AKA BEST PLACE EVER) and ordered take-out Shrimp Pho soup. When I got there, the woman (who is already so nice) told me they didn't accept AMEX cards. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash on me. So I said, "okay I'll be right back, I'll go grab cash!" Her reply was " No no, don't worry about it. Next time you order just tell us it's you! I couldn't believe it. I was like HUH?! How is someone being this kind ?!? I told her, she was insanely sweet and that I would be right back with cash payment. She goes "okay but don't rush, go and eat first and just come back whenever!" “My wife and I order from China Express at least once a week. My wife has conversations with the young lady who seems to always be there answering the phone and ringing you up at the register. She is very friendly and the food is great! I'm working late today and actually picking some up tonight. It is just my wife and I, as the kids are out of the house now, and we always order more food than we could eat, but it is so good the next day.

Parking: They do have tables and chairs to dine in but most people like us prefer to take-out as we live right down the road about 10 minutes from there. With people picking up their orders, there is always parking and never a wait for your order.“

“I don’t understand the complaints. I always got really great food here. The general tso’s tofu was always great. The wonton soup was as well. In this area specifically, this is one of the best around. I don’t know if the same person is working the cash register, but a little boy always rung me up and he was perfectly kind. While also doing his homework on the job. The whole family was always very sweet to me.

I highly recommend their Red Curry with Beef; it comes with an awesome variety of veggies and a good amount of beef. Not to mention there is enough curry left over to mix with your rice to finish off, (or my favorite, having it for breakfast the next morning with a nice cold can Coconut of water.)
As a life long resident of the area, being Maple Shade and West Cherry Hill, the food and people are a staple of the community and are deeply cherished.

“The first meal I had here was great now the last visit has me cutting them off. I ordered Shrimp with lobster sauce but it came with (imitation) crab meat. Which why? I had to go back and exchange it and then I got dirty shrimp. They should use one of those cleaning machines or cut the whole tail off. If only they’d show more pride in their food. Anyhow be sure to let them know you don’t like imitation meat if that’s your preference.“

Cindy's was the first Chinese restaurant that my wife and I ordered from when we moved to Cherry Hill and 16 years later Cindy's is a great "go-to" for quick delivery of good Chinese food. I recommend for bigger eaters, like I have always been, if you want extra steak or chicken the nominal charge is well worth it.“

“I have moved to this area a few years ago and about a year ago I tried Chan's Garden and finally found my favorite Chinese Restaurant I've been looking for and have been going back every week or two. They do deliver with a 15 dollar minimum and that's sensible but I usually call to place a order that is always ready in 10 minutes. The people who work there that I think are the owners are always so friendly and polite making sure I have everything I need. The boneless spare ribs are the best I ever had and the General Tao's Chicken is out of this world. I also suggest the Chinese pizza and every type of egg rolls and spring rolls are another favorite of mine. I like to try different dishes even dishes I've never tried in my life and I surprised myself how good everything was being a picky eater. A lot of Chinese Restaurants started to use smaller containers which means smaller portions but at Chan's Garden the containers and portions are large and filled to the top with their great food. I'm older and I always forget to take pictures but the next time I go there I'll take some pictures and add them to this review so you can see for yourself.

Parking: It's in a busy strip store and I never had a problem finding a spot close to the restaurant.“
