“Do not patronize this restaurant . I had a $14.00 balance of a gift card that we spent $126.00 on NewYears Eve. $14.00 balance. After ordering a sandwich I was told that the card was invalid. Are you kidding? Do you think I gave you a invalid card? Is it worth losing 2 customers and all the people we know telling them what kind of fools you are? Is it worth it? Keep your sandwich. “A gem of a place. Have been a regular customer for many years, and Manny & Sharon were wonderful owners. I was so sad to see them retire and sell the place, as was not sure anyone could do it as well. What a wonderful surprise the new owners have kept he traditions and continue the amazing high quality food and warm friendly hospitality. I recently met Scott & Dominic and thank them for continuing to offer us someplace where I know I am being fed by someone who cares about the taste and quality and truly want to make us happy with damn good foods. The sandwiches are all fantastic, and the eggplant or chicken cutlets are amazing. The specials every day rock. And even the simple A & B salads... I'm always impressed with how much and how high quality the ingredients are in that little container with delicious dressing. Keep up the good work guys, and thank you.“

As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

And then the chef makes it right in front of you. The owner told me that not everybody watches. They’re missing out. This restaurant is offering dinner and a show. And the cooking here is a performance. You get to see what goes into your food and how it is made. It gives you an additional appreciation for what you are about to savor. All the senses go on alert. You could see it. You could hear it in the pan and you could smell it. If you are anywhere near Union, New Jersey, check out All' Assassina. But do not just order and walk away. Look. Listen. And learn. Not everybody likes to cook. But everyone should like to learn. The more you know about what’s in your food and how it is prepared, the more you’ll appreciate good food. “Four of us ate dinner here on a Thursday night. The restaurant was relatively empty and nice and quiet. Very different from the weekends.

This is a very expensive restaurant but also a very extraordinary restaurant, so we felt the expense was worth it.

Decor is upscale and elegant. Perfect to celebrate a birthday or anniversary or just to have a nice dinner with friends.

The tables all have white table cloths, and service was amazing. There is also an extensive wine menu. To our delight they serve our favorite Sancerre (unusual to find in an Italian restaurant) and at a very reasonable price.

The complimentary bread served at the outset was fresh and very tasty.

The grilled octopus appetizer with chickpea sauce was tender. The pasta with pieces of shrimp for the second course was tasty, though the shrimp was slight overdone.

The main courses were all fabulous. The char and swordfish were nice and moist. The filet mignon was one of the best I've had and a huge portion. Side orders of mushrooms and broccoli rabe were very excellent.

The Italian cheese cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert was amazing. The biscotti, espressos, tea, and sauterne were also great.

The ambiance here is wonderful, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the chef himself even came out to offer us a suggestion on something we ordered. It was an absolutely perfect fine dining experience and we will definitely return.

“We love this place and have eaten several times for lunch. Food is consistently good and inventive.

My only warning is - if you come for dinner, especially on a weekend, be ready to wait. It's free seating so there's lots of groups standing around waiting for a table to open up. The real bottleneck seems to be their pizza oven. We got our meal almost immediately except for the pizza - had to awkwardly wait for 20 additional minutes as people eyed our table.“

My gf got the “Toni Ann” and she couldn’t talk while we were eating together because she wouldn’t stop stuffing her face. Alot is included in the price you receive. And many other venues don't compare when it comes to price. Helping to save you some money along the way. The rooms are beautiful and my guest were amazed. The workers were accommodating and helped get our room together way before time. This helped us tremendously with getting most of the setup being done the night before. The lighting is awesome. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli, perfect for the season! The owner was so friendly and, after overhearing how much we enjoyed the cheese with figs and prosciutto, he brought us an extra plate on the house.
